The Beautiful Silence

The Beautiful Silence

She said waving it off. I filled my plate with some eggs, bacon, and a biscuit. I spread some butter and jam on the biscuit as someone came up and filled up a glass with orange juice. "Oh thank you" I mumbled out with a mouth full of food. They just smiled and walked back into the kitchen. "So I have something to share" Lorenzo said breaking the comfortable silence. "Our mind link earlier Tony, she can hear it" He said pushing a thumb in my direction. Tony looked at me with a blank stare. "Is this true?" He asked. "Yeah" I said. His eyes glazed over and so did Mateo's. Purple chicken I heard Tony's voice say.

Sound of Silence

Sound of Silence

His pack was raided and almost completely wiped out when he turned twelve and since then, Skylar’s father had taken them in. Soon as he reached the doorway to the dining hall, Skylar’s eyes scanned the large room, not looking for anyone in particular. It just became a habit. “He's not here.” Skylar felt his wolf, Kylo, roll his eyes on him while growling low and highly irritated. “I wasn't looking for that deaf,” Skylar retorted. “Did I say who it was?” Kylo sniggered on him then curled up for a nap.

Loveliest regrets

Loveliest regrets

The girl replied, I nodded and proceeded to take my book which was placed in the teacher’s shelf. As usual the library was reticent; even the unuttered words felt like they could be heard. The silence was strangely not deadly rather it brought peace. The ambience never makes me feel alone or empty. It’s as if connected with me on a level of comfort, even I can’t figure out. Holding the bookmark in hand I opened my book, as I sat on one of the chairs. I read a few lines, but when my interest started developing, (I hadn’t even finish a page) the teacher interrupted me. "Umm, sir, sorry to disturb.” I looked up at her, “But, should I lock the library later or-" I cut her off in the middle.

Until The Last Day

Until The Last Day

And for just a moment—the flood stopped. The pages of the giant book curled backward like flapping wings. The bloody image of Camela on the first page screamed as its face split open into a thousand cracks. The whispers grew louder than ever before—desperate and furious this time: “You chose silence. Then silence shall be your fate.” Every book in the library slammed shut simultaneously with a sound that thundered like bones breaking apart. And then—darkness. A total, smothering, and overwhelming silence enveloped them both.

More Than a Campus Fling

More Than a Campus Fling

My eyes moved slowly across the screen of the library computer, the glow reflecting faintly against my face as my lips moved under my breath, quietly sounding out the words I was reading. The library was supposed to be quiet— peaceful— but then it started. Soft at first. A low murmur. Then laughter. I tried to ignore it, my eyes staying glued to the screen, but it grew louder, spilling into my space, breaking my concentration piece by piece. Seriously? In the library?

Second in Silence

Second in Silence

"With cameras on every corner, Charles won't be able to hide for long. He's bound to be caught any minute now." Olivia had barely hung up when a loud knock rattled my door. I did not bother opening it. Instead, I peered through the digital peephole and saw the unmistakable silhouette. "Charles, I can see you out there. Don't mess up again. Turn yourself in, and maybe you can get a second chance," I called out. The knocking grew fiercer as Charles heard me. He was cursing up a storm, but I tuned him out, still pushing for him to give up.

Silent Memories

Silent Memories

He promised and really made her concerns in thin air. "He came to me. I was sitting in my room doing homework when he came into the room without knocking ... " " You? Are you busy? ”He came into the room and closed the door behind him. Alissa turned to him in her chair. Desire glowed in his eyes and goose bumps crept over her body. She got cold and looked down at herself. It was evening, she was wearing her silk pajamas, a present from her father, it consisted of shorts and a top. She wore nothing underneath.

The Island of the Silence

The Island of the Silence

Morrigan's voice trembled. “It’s old enough that meaning no longer plays a role for him.” The librarian raised something. A hand. Or something similar. A huge figure of characters and shadows. Letters fell down from her like black rain. Phrases. Words. Names. Forgotten names. The sky over Nerevin darkened. Then the librarian spoke. Not loud. And yet it heard the whole city. A voice of a thousand voices. From millions. ‘THE LAST PAGE’. Mara felt the sound in her bones.

HER FATED MATE IS AN OMEGA

HER FATED MATE IS AN OMEGA

He was stirring a pot and he knew it, and the knowing made him stir a little harder. "The library?" Mr. Vance's brows rose with fresh amusement. He looked at Silas now, not unkindly, but with the sharpness of a man connecting dots. "You could have anyone you want. Does it have to be in the library, of all places?" Silas said nothing. He kept his jaw set and his gaze level and calculated how long he could maintain this silence before it became its own kind of answer. Elara had quietly lowered her eyes to her cup. She lifted the coffee to her lips with a steadiness she did not feel and drank slowly, trying to drown the roaring in her chest before it reached her face.

CHIBI WRITES
It’s how I said I’m just going to check chapter one and see if it’s going to make me read more because I was scared to invest my time in the book because of the performance but helll I was fully into this book. This book clearly needs more visibility a very good one. Elara is so perfect and strong

I’m absolutely hooked! Elara’s story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. After everything she sacrificed, seeing her finally choose herself is so satisfying. The mystery surrounding Silas and the mate bond has me eager to keep reading.

OWNED BY MY EX'S GODFATHER

OWNED BY MY EX'S GODFATHER

This is a threat to who he is. Sophia does not push. She does something small instead. She does not try to fix the situation or push him toward an answer. She simply stays in the room with him while he sits with it. The way he once sat with her in his study while she read. Not filling the silence. Just present. The afternoon light is coming through the windows at an angle that turns the room warm. Outside the city is moving the way it always moves. Inside the library it is quiet except for the sound of their breathing and the faint hum of traffic forty-three floors below.
