Silence Storm Mga Nobela at Kwento

Merilla’s voice called out in our link as she followed behind me. “ I need time to process things. Please Merilla, just give me some time alone.” Merilla excepted my wishes and stopped following me. Finally, I found an empty room, a small space with large windows that let in the cool breeze. I pushed the windows open, breathing in the fresh air, trying to calm the storm inside me. Leaning against the wall, I slid down to the floor, pulling my knees to my chest.

If only he had the faintest idea just how complicated everything was now I wouldn't be alive to see another full moon “The Storm Pack will be here tonight,” he said, his voice going deliberately flat. “I expect you to behave with dignity, I expect that from my son of course” Of course His said with a tone that meant one thing: Don’t cause a scene. More importantly: Don’t go anywhere near Lucas Storm. "Of course," I replied, as I was struggling to keep my tone calm

Like stepping into someone’s home and realizing they had just shoved all their mess under the rug, pretending the creaky floorboards didn’t exist and that everything was blissfully fine. But if the storm had really passed—if all that noise had vanished into thin air—then someone had definitely pulled the strings on this newfound peace. The board. I was hit with this weird feeling right in my chest, almost instinctual, before fully putting the thought together. That type of silence didn’t just happen on its own; it didn’t just grow naturally. It was orchestrated. Commanded. Controlled. Like someone at the top had finally gotten fed up with the chaos and slammed their fist down in frustration.

It was for the right to make noise. As the silent storm descended, Kairi’s hand tightened in mine, our bond a frantic, defiant drumbeat against the growing void. Lyra turned from the woods, her new-found peace shattered, her storm-grey eyes wide with a recognition of this ancient, ultimate foe. Maia’s snarl was a soundless vibration. Silas awoke, his face a mask of pure horror. We had built our paradise. We had won our peace. And now, the very last enemy had come to turn out the lights.

She felt the storm gathering again, not as thunder, but as a slow pressure that bent the air. Claudia had been removed from the board, but she had not been removed from the fight. Now she was reaching into the deepest corners of the family’s story, pulling secrets like stones from a riverbed. Evelyn tightened her grip on the window frame. She had survived fire, betrayal, and whispers. She would survive this too. Yet she knew the storm ahead would demand more than steadiness. It would demand truth, spoken aloud, no matter how sharp it cut. The gathering storm was no longer on the horizon. It was here.

*SMACK* You must be out of your mind! Did you just hit me Stormie? Do you need another one to drive the reality of the situation home for you?!

" Shane closed his eyes in pain. His head hung low, and his voice was hoarse. "I know it's all my fault. "I just hope I can stay by your side. "I don't mind being treated like a stranger. I'll just watch over you two in silence." I said nothing. After turning around, I walked to the window and watched the sky gradually turn dark. "Leave, and don't come back." Shane stood frozen there for a long moment. Only when I repeated my dismissal did he stagger away. His silhouette with the scenery of sunset behind him looked lonely and desolate.

Then I broke the silence, pack your blades, your courage, and your silence, because once we cross that threshold, we stop being wolves. We become the storm.

"We end this. Now." And I believed him. Because when a storm has gone on too long, even silence becomes a scream. And we were done screaming.

Neither spoke. Nate stared at him. Max stared back. And in the silence between them, everything they'd spent months refusing to say seemed to gather at once. The door remained open. Neither of them moved. Neither looked away.
