Signed In Silence
I whispered, a tear finally escaping and running down my cheek.
"No," Leander said, his voice raw, his eyes never leaving mine. "I don't."
I let out a short, broken laugh, my hand slowly rising to meet his. My fingers brushed against his wrist, feeling the heavy, rapid thrum of his pulse.
"Then learn," I said.
Leander closed his eyes, a deep, shuddering breath escaping his lips as his hand finally landed against my cheek, his warm palm cuping my face with a gentleness that felt almost reverent.
