Martinez's POV. I shuddered and swallowed the hard lump in my throat as I heard his words. They frightened me. There were things that could kill a werewolf but a silver bullet was the deadliest. It was potent, killing not only werewolves but other supernatural beings. The darkness in my eyes reduced and I knew that I had to think fast about my next move. It had to be shrewd and good enough to outsmart these two fools standing here but I couldn't be easily deceived. If Scarlett hadn't been a hybrid, the silver she ingested with that blood would have killed her, but then there is now a rumour going around that the werewolf Alpha that was holding Scarlett was experimenting with silver, making it so he could stand having silver in his blood so that when a vampire bit into him they would be affected by the silver.
