“How can I ever thank…Sylvanius, what is this?” The water dragon had shifted its gaze right to Seraphina and was glaring down at her. “I do believe that I said I swore an oath,” Silver said, lifting Amy into his arms. “You will not hurt the woman I swore an oath to.” Seraphina’s face twisted in rage and in a plot second, vanished, replaced with an eerie smile. “You seem to think I cannot kill you.” Silver glanced at Seraphina and then snorted. She flew into a rage and shot a ball of fire towards him. It landed on his body and vanished up in smoke.

the computer voice droned. Four silver soldiers slid out from a nearby building. They didn’t walk—they rolled, fast, on wheels built into their feet. Their glass faces caught the starlight. “I’ve got them!” Raven shouted, leaping forward. Her arms, laced with gold wires, moved faster than thought. She didn’t stab—she just pressed a hand to the first soldier’s chest. The silver armor melted away, spilling off like water. Underneath was a guy in a t-shirt, blinking in shock.

Veronica I fell into darkness, but it wasn't empty. A forest materialized around me, ancient and vast. Moonlight filtered through leaves that shimmered like silver coins. My feet touched soft moss, and I realized I could stand without pain. My body felt whole again, strong. Then I saw her. A silver wolf, magnificent and glowing, stepped out from behind a massive oak tree. Her eyes were the same shade as mine, amber with flecks of gold. I knew her instantly, even though she'd died giving birth to me.

Alexa cuts in excitedly. Facing her, "What do you mean by my face has changed, Alexa?" I was getting more confused by the minute. "Okay, you need to see it for yourself to know what we are saying." Saying this, she grabbed my hand, brought me to the car door window, and pointed, "Look.". Still confused, I slowly turned my head to the window and was shocked by what I saw. The white wolves that killed the red wolf was Alpha Aston Silver and gamma Ryan Silver and the honey she-wolf was Ryan's mate. I checked my unconscious mate. I nudged her with a snout. She had a bite wound on her left leg which wasn't healed. I sniffed her and nudged her with the hope she might wake up.

He doesn’t make it easy. Instead, it makes my eyes sting. I push myself up slowly, biting back a hiss when my ribs protest. The room tilts—just a little—and Soryn’s body shifts, barely, like he’s ready to catch me without touching me unless he has to. My fingers wrap around the glass. The water is cool, clean, perfect. I drink like I’ve been dying. When I lower it, my hands are shaking. Soryn’s gaze drops to them and something dark tightens in his face. He looks away like he doesn’t want me to see it.

I got this hunch that he'd become aware of my gaze and was about to return it, so I looked away immediately. "Are you aware that the rainbow is just an illusion?" He asked turning to me, with that cute smile still playing on his lips. "Huh?" "The rainbow," he repeated, pointing towards it "it's an illusion cast on the sky due to the reflection of light" "Really" I said. He scoffed and silence reigned once again. I figured it was now time to part ways before he begins to grow on me. "I'm about to go in now," I said reluctantly "Which hospital building do you stay?" I grabbed the arms of his wheelchair.

I coughed as she placed it on the table with a thud, blowing dust everywhere. “Here…” Ruby said, shoving the book towards me after flipping through the pages and finally finding what she was looking for. There was a painting of a stunning silver wolf standing beside a goddess-like woman with silver hair. The wolf’s body seemed to be made of diamonds the way it sparkled and I for sure have never seen a tail so beautiful and long. And her eyes, they were a very unique shade of multiple colors, like a rainbow. “Silver seems like a more realistic version of this wolf in the painting,” Mac remarked and I absolutely agreed with him.
