~ ~ Continuing in Author's POV Awhile back, Skylar had found out that her mother and father were still alive. She also found out that her brothers and sisters were too, but were gone and with now completely different identities since her parents had sold them to various mobs in order to survive. Skylar's mother, Sasha, was against this, but she had no say. Once her father, Gabriel, had gambled and drank all the money the had left away, Sasha was forced into prostitution so he could drink and feed his addictions.

Dominic Sokolov was already dead; he just hadn’t realized it yet. The bastard had murdered my sister in cold blood because she "knew too much." At least, that’s what her diary said. Reading it, it was painfully clear she’d known the end was coming. She’d scrawled his name over and over, maybe hoping someone else would find it, maybe the police would intervene, but I got my hands on it first.

Damn, she looks pretty good like this, and unthinkingly, I press my lips on hers, kissing her through her haze. She doesn’t move, just a corpse presented for my pleasure. I could barely see. Suddenly, a black, armored SUV pulled in front of me, blocking my path. I slammed on the brakes. The truck skidded in the rain, nearly hitting the guardrail. The SUV door opened. A tall figure emerged. Even through the rain and my own pain, I could feel the raw power rolling off him in waves. Kael. The Alpha of the Blackmoon Pack, the most powerful pack in North America. He walked to my window and tapped on the glass. I rolled it down. Rain lashed my face.

Then I brought out a novel to read because it was awkward staring out the window and sipping coffee with a stranger sitting across from me staring at my face from time to time or operating his phone. “How far have you gone?” He asked “How far have I gone with the book?” “Yes,” he said smiling. “I’m still at the prologue,” I responded. “Oh, that’s chill, you seem to like thrillers, this book ‘ Kill for you,’ is an epic thriller, and only true fans of thrillers read it.” “I had no idea, I was just drawn by the book cover, but yeah I love thrillers.” “It’s a good one,” he said and I forced a smile. So he had read it before. “I could read it over and over again, it never gets old.”

She stood up, opened her drawer and took out a book. The book looked so old and the words written on it had almost faded. “Where did you get this whole book?” Killian asked, staring curiously at the book. “When I was framed for murder, and was locked up in the prison. I had a strange dream where you and Zayne fought brutally. But in the end, he overpowered you, and killed you.” Sara paused, placed her hand on Killian's hand and smiled.

All the things he told me made sense. — He's coming for you, the killer. — How do you know? — Because that's what I would do. — How could you have done that if you've never seen me? A crooked smile formed on his lips. Who said I've never seen you? Do you know who the murderer is? — Maybe. Wolves disguise themselves as sheep, pretty one. Be smart, or you'll end up being eaten. It's all a game to me. If you keep this up, you'll be dead before I finish this book.

He heard more then one of his she wolves has been his conquests before. “Ah yes, I would love to dig into her past. There’s something, different about you. I can’t quite put my finger on it…” Killian said to them. Then he whipped around and walked quickly to a book shelf halfway around the shop. “I think I have just the book you are looking for around here somewhere. Make yourselves at home.” He started muttering to himself going through the books taking one out here before shaking his head and putting it back just to do it again with another one. Alys laughed and started looking at the items in the display cases.

“And here I thought something excited I would find, that just the detective being incompetent.” After putting it back, that person used the hidden door at the detective’s bathroom as an exit route. Mary Sue replies. She’s partly right. I haven’t killed anyone since the senator, and let’s just say that he only barely fixed my itch for blood (especially as I blacked out for the actual killing part . . . ) However, what is really irritating is knowing Nick Jin or one of his cronies is lurking in the shadows somewhere in our hotel, randomly picking off hotel guests just to mess with me.
