Elder Collins flipped through the binder before taking out a piece of paper and handing one to everyone on the couch. As soon as I grabbed it, I saw a black-and-white drawing of a wolf with a woman standing by its side with its hand on its back with the background resembling the skies. The title said True Soulmates, True Mates with some text underneath that I scanned over to to start reading about this whole corny soulmate talk.

Flanking her were Julian’s older brother and sister, their tailored designer suits immaculate, their eyes locked onto me with a predatory amusement. The public masks they had worn in front of Julian last night were completely gone. "You look remarkably pale, shadow girl," Julian’s sister murmured, tapping her manicured nails against her crystal juice glass. Anna sighed when she saw her brother name and ticked it without thinking twice, she then paused, thinking of who to choose to be his queen, her hand hovered above her name for some seconds before finally ticking Melody White.
