The Stories Of Those Around Us

The Stories Of Those Around Us

I was happy to know that there was someone that believed in me. Since that day, he'd come by during dismissal time and teach me how to play. I usually go to the club room first, then he follows me right after. Oddly enough, ever since he started sticking to me, he hasn't gotten any injuries similar to the ones he had when we first met. I'm thankful for that, but I knew that the ones behind those injuries wouldn't just stop out of nowhere. Still, Ivory never told me anything about it, so it's not something I can just involve myself in. One day, I was surprised to see Ivory enter the club room in the worst state I've ever seen him in. He smiled stupidly at me as he held onto his stomach in pai

Rewriting My Story

Rewriting My Story

I died on a rainy day. The vibrant maple leaves, usually scattered across the mountainside, were nowhere to be seen because Conrad Reese couldn't wait any longer. I tumbled down the steps, blood pooling beneath me. But he wasn't satisfied. He shoved me down the stairs again and again, each time more forcefully. The pain was so intense that I could barely make a sound, but I still couldn't help but ask, "Why… are you doing this?" I didn't understand.

Lone Wolf

Lone Wolf

“I was a very uncoordinated child.” I turned back to Dr Dean. “I can save some time if you want?” I asked politely and he gave me a small nod. “Okay. So after my ankle, at 10 I broke 2 fingers climbing a tree. At 12 I broke my wrist, a few weeks later I cracked a few ribs and a little while after I cracked my skull open. All skateboard accidents.” He nodded again, “Yes, These are here indeed. You really were uncoordinated, Luna.”

Or not even landmarks at all. “Over there is the skate park Reid and Seb lived at one summer, until they crashed into each other and Reid broke his collarbone and Sebastian got a concussion. Dad didn’t let them go back again after that.” “I don’t blame him! That sounds awful!” “They were both healed and back on their feet pretty quickly, but—” I stopped, realizing what I had just said. “I mean, as quickly as someone can heal after those types of injuries,” I added, hoping my lie was good enough.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as well as the second book but I’m also thoroughly disappointed that the author has chosen not to continue putting her books in this venue. Unfortunately, I’m unable to afford purchasing from a book store or online seller the next 2 books she’s written.

Allie is a wonderful and talented writer and author, I have so much to say but, very limited space, I love the beautiful and true life wisdom and positive tone, flow and everything this story had to offer. The only thing I can complain about is that I wish there were more chapters to read.

The Alpha's Secret Witch

The Alpha's Secret Witch

Raven groaned and there her hands in exasperation, "C'mon that's not reassuring." I didn't tell her that I had learned to skate on frozen rivers while running from bounty hunters when a neighbor put a freaking number on my head. That I'd played pickup games with shifters in the Yukon who didn't care about rules. That the last time I'd held a stick, I'd used it to knock a man off a snowmobile. But then again somethings were better left unsaid. And right there at the centre of it all was the bane of my very existence.

ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR.BILLIONAIRE

ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR.BILLIONAIRE

New. ⸻ In the years that followed, The Story House expanded into schools, shelters, even juvenile detention centers. River published a memoir about his recovery and love story with Skye. Marla launched her own publishing imprint to spotlight young marginalized voices. And Skye? She kept showing up. To the letters. To the stories. To the quiet revolution of being present. On the tenth anniversary of The Story House, she stood once more at the Healing Wall, now digital and physical, with locations around the world.

Mated to a Human

Mated to a Human

Skylar sat with his pack mates around the lounge area as they waited for all the details on last nights date. “So wait a second, you guys went skating and then she fainted. What exactly happened in between there?” Chaskai asked. “His mate sliced his hand open, try to keep up.” Aaron, the third in command, said. “No, he’s asking how’d that happen? She just took her skate off and started swinging it?” Nadia asked. Skylar frowned at all of them. “She lost her footing and I was trying to steady her, when I tried she pulled away from me and we both went tumbling. I tried to catch myself but landed on her skate instead of the ice.” Skylar explained.

My Blood Wizard System

My Blood Wizard System

Vale (casual, smiling at the whole class): “Try to stay awake, people. History bites when you ignore it.” I write his name in the margin of my notebook and underline it three times. Thursday – Skatepark after school I’m in the middle of a switch bigspin heelflip line when the staring feeling hits again, stronger than ever. Like the sky itself just leaned in. I scan the park: Remy grinding the rail, Seras lighting the coping on fire for fun, Noah filming, Brittany yelling angles. No one new. No Mr. Vale. No random creepers. Yet the pressure doesn’t fade until I land the line.

The Ice Between Us

The Ice Between Us

“Lena, listen to me. You don’t let people like Sabrina decide your future. You don’t let lies dictate your path. And you definitely don’t let fear tell you who you are.” My throat tightens. “But what if I’m not ready?” “Then you take it one step at a time,” she says. “One skate. One lap. One breath. But you don’t quit. Not because of her. Not because of anyone.” Mom squeezes my hand. “You’ve worked too hard to let someone else write your story.” I look back at the ice. Gabby is trying the jump again, this time landing it clean. She throws her arms up in triumph, spinning in a circle like she just won the Olympics. I laugh softly.
