One Closet Too Far

One Closet Too Far

It was replaced by built-in cabinets in an off-white finish. Every trace of my life, from books, awards, to pictures, was missing. The space was now furnished with clothes, bags, and shoes. My room in the apartment I had paid for had been converted into Cass’ walk-in closet.

Belle Vue

Belle Vue

So far these were the only females he’d noticed with this anomaly. As he moved farther away from the entrance, beyond the reach of the other lantern and candles, he relied solely on his torch and a lamp that barely flickered. His steps now resembled a crab-like sideways shuffle as he felt there was less danger of treading on something he’d rather not. On his next slide along the floor, his foot connected with something. Something that moved and clattered. He directed the torch’s unsteady beam downward. Dozens of skeletons, sitting or lying slouched against each other. They were all naked, refused one last dignity. Some were missing limbs, others were charred in places. Alex recoiled as a cou

The Alpha's Regret: Rising From The Ash

The Alpha's Regret: Rising From The Ash

The nails screeched. The lid popped open. I took a deep breath. I braced myself for the smell of decay. I lifted the lid and threw it back. I looked inside. The scream died in my throat. There was no skeleton. There were no bones. There was no dust. The coffin was filled with bricks. Red construction bricks. They were stacked neatly in rows to simulate the weight of a body. I stared at them. My mind tried to reject what my eyes were seeing. "It is empty," Kael whispered.

Offered to the Triplet Alphas

Offered to the Triplet Alphas

They were also used for festive decorations; sometimes they had a rope tied around their cervical bones and hung them on their porch. Some were used in black magic rituals and sacrifices. Some unique and ancient skeletons, like the ones extracted from ancient ruins and mummies, were showcased as antiques in hospitals and museums. But no matter where those skeletons came from, being around them always gave me icks. Xanthea looked at the store and then at me with her doe eyes. ‘Here it comes. Don’t look in her eyes. You can’t melt…’ Odeus taunted. ‘Oh, shut up!’ I growled at him in my head.

Updates are really slow. I couldn’t remember story line completely and had to go back and read several chapters to get back up to speed. Please update regularly. It’s a really good story and losing the audience due to delayed updates is a shame.

Like other comments, loved the storyline and characters BUT updates are extremely slow. So slow that I had to go back and reread the last couple of chapters before reading new material. Won’t continue story if next update takes so long.

Blood and Bones

Blood and Bones

Seraphina & Declan ✦ 18+ — explicit language, graphic violence, torture ✦ The basement smells like concrete and old water and the particular kind of fear that has been marinating for several hours. I know that smell. I've been in rooms like this before — not many, and not as the one asking questions, but enough to understand the architecture of them. The single hanging bulb. The drain in the floor that doesn't try to hide what it's for. The chair bolted to the concrete, which is a practical detail that tells you something about whoever built this room and how seriously they took their work. Declan built this room. Of course he did. The man in the chair is named Caruso. Nico Caruso, forty-thr

The Bitten and the Born

The Bitten and the Born

Bastion opened the door and lowered his head to walk through keeping his eyes before him. Following behind him, Raven and her mama stole glances at each other in assurance they should continue following him. Neither of them were sure they weren’t being taken to their demises. “Bastion,” Alexandre whimpered, “Where are you taking us?” “Look.” Bastion pointed his long thick finger towards the other side of the room. There. The men that got away that day. Well the skeletons of them. But they had a tether to them. It looked like a spell bag hanging from each of their spines hanging over their rib cages. Bastion said some quiet words and the bones came alive as their spirits filled their dangling

Son Of The Soil

Son Of The Soil

Kyle asked. Nellie swallowed big and climbed the steps, as soon as she stood with others in front of the Door, A loud cracking sound came, it seemed the place is falling apart, then behold the mighty door started to open bit by bit until it fully opened. They all rushed in and as soon as they did, the door closed in on them. The King's Court is really terrifying, skeletons of bodies that existed thousands of years ago are still there. There's a particular one on the throne, the king's skeleton supposedly.

Denied by Destiny: Trapped in the Shadows of the Mate Bond

Denied by Destiny: Trapped in the Shadows of the Mate Bond

Thank the goddess that it’s my doctor that is the first to aid the female beta who has mysteriously fainted before him. I gently close the door to his office behind me, listening out for the click and checking the commotion outside was still louder than any noise I was making. As I turn I almost jump out of my own skin when I find a figure standing in the corner of the office…a model skeleton. I go through each drawer, each filing cabinet, almost deciding to bail out early, this was a bad idea. Until the last drawer to try happens to be the only one locked. I frantically search his desk and windowsill for the key, when I find it in the most unlikely of places…in the teeth of the life size sk

On the other hand, Hector didn’t grovel enough, I might be petty… After regaining her memories Kaia knew that Alora and Hector rejected one another, but if I’m not wrong she wasn’t actually made aware of this fact before loosing her memories, nor after.

I like that the general plot twists are unexpected , but some plots are lost, others unresolved. It's a good story that needs a better proof reader or editor and needs to finalize one story before moving to the next, it reads like a daytime soap opera.

The Reborn Witch Princess

The Reborn Witch Princess

She couldn’t see any skeleton along the corridor and felt that there must be plenty on the other side of each metal doors. Sure enough. When the queen pushed the door open, a rotten smell entered their nostrils. Both of them covered their nose with their sleeves. The metal room was large and have almost sixty cells lined up on the walls. There was a skeleton inside each cell with cobwebs spreading from the top of the cells towards the floor. There were no windows and the only light of the dungeon was the dim ceiling light. “Hahaha! You finally came to see me! I almost thought you’ve forgotten me!”
