The Shadow Knight

The Shadow Knight

The Bone Garden stretched before him, vast and impossible. Where the previous chamber had contained grief liquid and flowing, this one held death made solid. White structures erupted from black soil, forming patterns that hurt to perceive directly. Not simply bones, though human and animal remains certainly featured in the grotesque landscape. Rather, these were the skeletons of concepts, the calcified remains of ideas that had lived and died across eons. "Welcome to the place where abstractions come to die," a voice whispered, though no speaker was visible.

SOLD TO THE WEREWOLF KING

SOLD TO THE WEREWOLF KING

The voice from the darkness was a hook in my soul, reeling us forward into the chill. We stepped through the false wall, our single flashlight beam cutting a pathetic swath through the profound black. It fell upon bones. Not neatly stacked, but piled, heaped, a jumbled sea of femurs, skulls, and rib cages that filled a cavernous space from the slimy floor to the shadowed vault of the ceiling decades above. The Ossuary. The collective remains of centuries of Blackwood pack, their final energy a silent, heavy blanket that smothered the air and muted the magic in my blood to a faint, dying whisper.

Bound by Blood II

Bound by Blood II

It was so effective that we used nothing else to clean up blood. “I still say we should get a wood chipper,” Wilder said, as we headed back up the stairs to our rooms. “And you don’t think people will ask questions when we carry a fucking wood chipper into the house?” “Would we care?” Wilder shook his head. “Now that I’ve got you here, SV… why did the skeleton go to a party alone?” “Fuck, just tell me so I can go back to sleep,” I said. “He had no body to bone,” Wilder said and laughed loudly.

BONE CROWN

BONE CROWN

She lifted the bar from the doors. Lucien moved instantly. Cassian too. But she was already pulling the doors open. Snow blew inward in a violent sheet. Moonlight spilled across the shrine threshold. And beyond— Twenty figures stood in the drift. White bone armor. Fur-lined black cloaks. Faces hidden behind carved masks shaped like skulls. Blue torches burned in their hands. No horses. No banners. Silent as graves. At their center stood a woman in antlered bone armor. Tall.

She greeted showing us to the seats. "Thank you Ms. Maggot." Responded I as I kept my eyes looking around in amusement. The place wore a rare design of animal bones and skeletons that if they were found in anyone's house at that time, they would execute them for practicing sorcery. The sounds that led out of her house rang like metallic bells that for sure came from the hanging bones upon the ceiling. "Please have a seat." Simmons led down first as I still stood astonished with the looks and beauty.

The Rise, The last Queen

The Rise, The last Queen

So while she waited for her energy to recover, Hana planned to take a walk around the cellar for a while to see if she found anything new. Under the floor were sprawled corpses of insects. Suddenly the sound of something cracking in her ears rang, and Hana bent down to light her feet. She reached for the bone that had just been trampled in half by herself, watched for a moment, and then dropped it. It was a decomposed human skeleton, Hana raised Worn to get a better view, and the sight before her made her cringe. Human skeletons of all sizes and sizes were piled up everywhere. Up there, where the light hadn't yet reached, Hana could still dimly see the white glow of her bones.

The Return Of The Rejected Mate

The Return Of The Rejected Mate

The very moment I was waiting for. ***** (THIRD POV) * * * In a dark place looking so dark that the only source of light of this place was the candles that were placed around. All littered on the floor were skeletons of humans. The skeletons had formed a huge mountain by the side of the dark room. From the huge numbers of skeletons that were in this place one wouldn't be able to imagine the number of humans that would be able to make us that much. Not far from the skeleton was a woman sitting inside a circle cross-legged with her eyes closed.

E.C. EDWARDS - The Mighty Antimagic Spell

E.C. EDWARDS - The Mighty Antimagic Spell

Including that huge dragon skeleton, hanging in all its glory from several points in the ceiling, leaving the impression, as it was so scattered, that at any time it can grab someone in the room, running off. There were also, among others, hanging from the ceiling or placed on shelves, human skeletons and ... of many other kinds. Some whole ... and on the worktops even just pieces of them, such as various animal skulls or from more or less known creatures, some of them being used even as a container for various magic famous liqueurs and potions, but unknown to many of those beginners. There were phosphorescent green potions, red or even black and viscous potions in those skull-bowls.

The Way of the Dragon

The Way of the Dragon

This feeling was very strange. "Clang" However, at the next moment, with waves of strange friction sounds, everyone's questions were completely answered. The white skeletons slowly crawled out of the sea and onto these stone bridges. These white skeletons were clearly bones of undead, and they were beyond the elite level. The white skeletons, which were integrated from top to bottom, all carried a strange energy flowing. Their powerful auras were clearly visible. What they were holding were all sinister longbows. They looked fatal, while this group of skeleton undead had over ten thousand of them. The number of them was astonishing to the extreme.

Rite of Power

Rite of Power

“Are those real skeletons in those things?” I nodded, “Yes, but you can relax about who died to donate them, you can order them from medical facilities all over the world. Whoever they were, they’ve been long since dead and probably died from benign mundane things like heart attacks or cancer or something years ago.” “Where are their legs?” She walked up to one examining its macabre structure. I shrugged, “I dunno, must be why I got them all half off.” She groaned like I’d just punched her in the gut and turned to look at me with a grimace, “Really? That was a horrible joke.”
