I shake my head, waving the thoughts away to concentrate but they keep crawling back. I flip to a new page to get this done with but surprisingly it's blank. My brows pull. That's odd. A blank page in the middle of a book. I had found it weird that the book was without a title when I picked it absentmindedly. I bring the book forward to my face, squinting my eyes to see if there's any secret message but there is nothing. I guess it's useless. I exhale loudly and make to snap the book shut but the sharp end prick my finger.

"I feel- I just- I have so many thoughts reading, and I write them down, so when I re-read the book, I'll have those thoughts", I pointed out at the book as he skimmed the margins, just passing through until he saw something that scared him, but he looked up at me. He started flipping the pages and his eyes scanned meticulously word by word. I was amazed with his reading speed and I leaned in to wait for his explanation. But then, his eyes grew visibly wide as his cheeks turned red. Once he reached the last page, he closed the book in silence. “So, what was it all about?” I asked. Then his hand glowed as I gasped, as he cast a small fire on his hand directly to the book as it was completely being burned. It only took a second before the book was burned into crisp. “W-What was that for?!”

Jackson, who is usually the most sceptical of our group, speaks up. “What do you mean, more researched?” Braydon takes the book Jackson holds up and flicks through the pages.
