MEANWHILE – DEAN’S MANSION | SKYE'S ROOM Skye lay on her bed, her face buried in her pillow as soft sobs escaped her lips. Her friend, Paisley a white-skinned girl, sat beside her, gently rubbing her back in an attempt to soothe her. “Skye, please stop crying already. You’re going to make yourself sick,” Paisley murmured, concerned. “Leave me alone. How could he do that to me?” Skye’s voice trembled between her tears. “He ditched me and didn’t even bother to send a message since last night.”

Little Osiris is huddled in his mother's arms, trying to hide his little face from the angry mob threatening to kill them. "I tell you what," the Alpha finally smirks. "I will give you a head start." Skye doesn't need to be told twice. She takes off, running toward the forest. As she runs, her body morphs and shifts. I try to keep up with her, but she is too fast. The last I see is a golden lycan running away from the mob. Osiris's little face is peering over her shoulder, watching his home fade into the distance.

Neo’s POV Sitting at my desk, my mind is consumed by the image of Skyler, completely engulfed in those Scarabs she fondly referred to. It's astonishing how she fearlessly caressed them, treating them as harmless creatures, before they obediently scurried away from her and disappeared into the earth. It's as if they hold no threat, no potential for danger or death. This scene continues to play in my mind, leaving me both fascinated and perplexed by Skyler's unwavering trust in these seemingly treacherous insects.

Sky is soon running, and feeling her running through the forest, picking up her speed to catch up with Pax and Nisha, the sensation of running is exhilarating, the air is whistling past, as tree by tree flies past, the speed Sky is running is disturbing the leaves below her feet.
