Skye yelled, trying to free my grip on her so she could go after Sabrina again. “I thought we were supposed to keep our voices down, this isn't so demure, Skye, come on, stop” I held her tightly, refusing to let her go. It might be the end of Sabrina if Skye puts her hands on her again. Her head wobbled enough times after receiving those four unexpected killer punches. I don't even think she can see again, her face’s covered up in blood. I'm just getting to notice that Skye scratched her with her claws as well. She didn't just throw punches.

When I look down, I see black paws instead of feet. Skye walks over to Adam, growling. He tries to back up, but she keeps going. My little mate and I go back to the house after a short while, when Skye’s stomach starts demanding food quite loudly, causing a delicious redness adorn her cheeks. “Did you calm down a little?” Mom asks without taking her eyes off the food she’s making. “Skylar, are you alright?” Brian sounds worried. “I’m fine. It just shocked me and I kind of freaked out.” Skye admits quietly, smiling at her father. It really warms my heart to see their relationship improve so quickly. I clenched my fists, my wolf stirring inside me. I turned back to Skye, "It seems we have to postpone our conversation, there's something that requires my immediate attention." Her gaze flickered with concern as she looked at me, "What's happening?" I shrugged, "Trouble, most likely." I didn't want to tell her it was Jayleen. Not yet, not until I was sure of her loyalty. She nodded, her brows furrowed. As I turned to leave, I felt a strange sensation. I looked back to see Skye staring at the painting. She was more than her mother's daughter; she was a witch and she had powers. Powers that could help us.
