I feel whole again as I let a small flame dance over my fingertips. I can’t resist. I run outside and create the largest fireball I’ve ever made and throw it straight into the stream causing steam to rise from the surface, I’m back baby. I put on a well fitting pale blue dress that looks like it is made of ice, the back is covered. Not because of the cold but because I want Scott to think I'm still weak., I don't need to worry about the cold anymore, not now that my flames are back.

He looked like a Spirit wolf. The Gamma launched at him, but Damien successfully dodged. The Gamma attacked again, and Damien dodged. They were at it for a while with Damien dodging every attack. It was clear Alex didn't want to hurt him. Getting frustrated he turned to mist to attack, but Damien did something no spirit wolf had ever done before. He stood on his hind legs, grabbed the head of the mist and pinned it down. A golden light began to emit from him. The rest of the pack backed away, afraid of being touched by the light. The Gamma became whole again under Damien's paws, and Alex spoke in what seemed like a roar.

Her breath trembled as something inside her cracked—not with breaking, but with release. She closed her eyes, drawing the wildfire closer, not to crush it, not to run—but to face it. The whispers tore at her, but she pushed back with her own voice, raw and burning: “I am not your kindling. I am not your ruin. I am flame, and flame is mine to carry.” The wildfire shuddered, sparks bursting outward like a thousand tiny stars. The dark edges burned away, leaving only fierce, golden light that wrapped around her like a mantle.

Otherwise she would go stark raving paranoid and lose her nerve entirely. The sound did not repeat, but her travel and trouble sharpened instincts sensed that she was being observed. She perceive his scents immediately. The tiny little hairs behind her neck stirred, and the thought bursts in her mind like fireworks. Her wolf, wiggling her tail and said " now don't miss your opportunity girl".

Everything about the forest filled her with fear until it overflowed. Another scream ripped through the frigid air and Chloe jumped, whipping around in a circle looking in vain for an invisible threat. The third scream seemed to flip a switch in the blonde and her limbs burst into life, carrying her through the blanketed wilderness in the direction of the screaming. The further she travelled the louder the screams got. Eventually she picked up the scent of wood fire and the unmistakable scent of stale alcohol. For a moment Chloe questioned why she could smell such things in the middle of nowhere, but it wasn't long before she could make out the shapes of a rundown hunting cabin and snowmobil

"I can summon fire!" Nathaniel glanced back at her, his face frozen in astonishment. "That might be the only thing that can truly destroy them!" he shouted. For a brief second, a strange flicker passed through Damian's eyes- but there was no time for questions. Skylar could feel the flames obeying her will, burning at her command. The heat pouring from her wasn't just destructive anymore-it was hope. She stepped forward and unleashed a raging inferno from both palms, sweeping the battlefield.
