Tonight, I would bring them both home or die trying. The first shadow beast came at me before I'd walked a hundred yards. It rose from the ground like smoke given form, all teeth and claws and hunger that had never been fed. Red eyes burned in a face that shifted between wolf and something worse. I didn't slow down. Fire exploded from my hands, not the gentle healing flames I used to tend gardens and mend broken bones. This was wildfire, the kind that burned forests to ash and left nothing but scorched earth behind. The beast screamed as it died, its form dissolving back into the poisoned ground.

At that moment, while Mya ran in search of a hiding spot, she said, "Wildfire, destroy their communicators. But remember, don't kill their leader." "Got it." On the other side, Wildfire was flat on his stomach. His lips went into a grim line and he fired his weapon. His bullet grazed Aveling's shoulder before hitting the man behind him. The bullet went straight through the man's body and hit the communicator he was carrying, causing an explosion before being utterly destroyed. When Aveling saw this, he furiously yelled, "Damn these b*stards! How dare they humiliate me like this… Get them! Get them and kill them in the most violent way possible!"

This wasn’t something that could be solved with a weapon. Spitfire, small but fierce, soared overhead, her wings cutting through the air with a speed that belied her size. She opened her mouth and unleashed a torrent of flame that burned through the cold air, setting the ground around the skinwalker alight. The fire crackled, lighting up the darkened sky as the skinwalker stumbled back, momentarily stunned. But then, with a terrifying roar, he threw something heavy at her, a cinder block, the size of a small boulder. It flew through the air with unnatural speed, propelled by the skinwalker’s supernatural strength.

As the two attacks collided, the space fluctuated with energy. Black storms and Frosty Flames filled the Black Wind Canyon, which shocked the onlooking elemental practitioners. “That should be Tres, also known as Skye, from the 18 Black Wind Riders.” “That's right, Black Storm is his signature!” “Hehe, Skye is a legend in Black Wind Canyon.” The discussions could not stop Philip’s anger. Hendrix landed up over the tree and one top of the silver wolf that had Xyler. Crashing into the silver wolf, the silver wolf let go of Xyler. The flames Henxdrix had carried over with him caught the silver wolf on fire as well. Xyler’s eyes went to Hendrix who was actively burning but continuing to try and fight the silver wolf.
