The cursed mate's return

The cursed mate's return

“And I’m not afraid of myself anymore.” Silence. Then Kye stepped forward and gave a single, grim nod. “Then we go together.” It took hours to reach the threshold. We moved through the old part of the forest, where light bent strangely and nothing made a sound. No wind. Just the hush of trees too ancient to speak aloud. Moss glowed faintly underfoot, illuminating the spiral path worn into the earth. The Catacline was exactly where I remembered from the leyline’s memory: a hollow crater nestled between blackroots, wide as a cathedral and twice as tall. The air above it shimmered, rippling like heat haze, but cold radiated out in waves.

Eclipsed Hearts: The Chronicle of Shadows and Stars

Eclipsed Hearts: The Chronicle of Shadows and Stars

Sarah Richarddragonborn x serana
The wind howled over the cliffs of Dravenreach, scattering loose stone and salt spray from the sea far below. Serenya drew her cloak tighter, the silver embroidery catching the first light of dawn. Her heart pounded against her ribs as she stared into the cavern ahead—a mouth of darkness carved into the mountain.

His Hidden Luna

His Hidden Luna

“I’m ready, Mama.” As they stepped onto the path, the cavern shifted again. Crystals rose from the floor, glowing with a pulse that seemed almost alive. The walls formed into arches that narrowed overhead, creating a tunnel lined with silver light. The whispers of the past faded, replaced by a humming that resonated with the Moon’s heartbeat. “This is it,” Aria whispered. “The heart of the sanctuary.” Kael’s grip on her hand tightened. “Stay close. Every step could be another trial.”

THE REWRITE: Transmigrating Into Another World

THE REWRITE: Transmigrating Into Another World

He knew the path from the book: a narrow goat trail leading to a hidden cave overlooking the battlefield. He found it—a dark fissure in the cliffside, pulsing with a malevolent energy. Inside, on a crude stone altar, sat the artifact: a black cube of obsidian, veined with crimson light that throbbed like a diseased heart. He could hear the distant sounds of battle—the grunts of men, the sizzle of Keith’s fire magic, the unearthly shrieks of disintegrating ghouls. It wouldn't take them long. He had to move.

The Pretty Prince and the Beast King

The Pretty Prince and the Beast King

They moved through the back-tunnels, past the sleeping Hybrids, toward the hidden exit that led to the Ridge’s jagged spine. The cold air hit them like a physical blow. The moon was high, casting long, skeletal shadows over the rocks. "Wait," Aradaa said. He stopped at the edge of the cliff. He looked back at the Hive. "What is it?" Lucian asked. "The wind." Aradaa’s face crumpled. "It doesn't smell like jasmine anymore." "What does it smell like?" "Burning fur." Lucian looked toward the horizon. The Sanguine Court wasn't ten miles away.

The Reaver Chronicles: Raphael (Book 2)

The Reaver Chronicles: Raphael (Book 2)

I couldn't shake the feeling that we were being led into a labyrinth, one from which there might be no escape. And then, the telltale signs of a dungeon began to emerge: the rusty iron bars, the cold stone cages, and the faint echoes of despair that seemed to cling to the walls like a malignant mist. The atmosphere was oppressive, heavy with the weight of suffering and confinement. As Blaze halted at the entrance of the small tunnel, a faint mist escaped my lips, visible in the chilly air. The sudden realization hit me like a cold wind: they had captured a Cryomancer.

Shadows of the Lost

Shadows of the Lost

There was nothing to see, nothing to amaze one’s self with. Hail was standing at the edge of this cliff, his arms crossed, staring into the depth of its surroundings. It’s pretty creepy to have oneself fell into it, as its end couldn’t be seen. It’d be an eternal fall. This was where he decided to transport Blame, as it’s the barrier’s weakest point. Looking over his shoulder, he noticed Blame steering. It wasn’t a good journey he daresay. He redirected the crest and it amounted to a rapid spin and compression which rendered Blame unconscious.

The world building is well-crafted and just by the narration na hindi gumagamit ng deep english words, it really brings the reader in the world of the mc. Prologue pa lang, one can tell the mc is someone strong-headed and even though she lost her memories, that characteristic didn't change.

"Thank you, Diana. I appreciate your consideration." There was a long silence before Diana spoke again. "Your Highness, may I ask you a question?" Damon sighed. "Of course, Diana." "Are you afraid of the dark?" Diana asked. Damon hesitated before answering. "No, I am not afraid of the dark. I have been blind since birth, so I have never known anything else." Diana was quiet for a moment before she spoke again. "I see. I'm sorry if I offended you."
