Slade Ravinger Novels & Stories

Then another. Within only a few minutes, Slade had an entire pile of dead witches, in a heap, right beside the pile of dead werewolves. Slade was on a rampage. This was his revenge. He lunged towards the Brotherhood of Breeders. They stood frozen, eyeing him with fear, their hands cupped over their private parts. Slade lowered his head and sniffed one of their legs. He had pissed himself, probably out of fear. Slade sniffed all the way up his body, until his nose was just inches with the man’s face.

Roger and Zedi had been greedy wanting the power that such a drug would give them. He stopped as he recognized his sister. Ava was collapsed on the floor, her body hurt and bruised as she stared at the table. His sister fought, screaming out, crying out, warning them that her death would be avenged. “She lived.” Her wolf spoke to him. He couldn’t let her get away. Setting off at a run, he chased after Ava. Picking up his pace he got to the edge of the waterfall in time to watch her jump off. Following her down, he saw her break the surface as a human. Her female scream was the last thing he heard before he went under.

But I’m not hovering over his shoulder, I trust him,” Slade said, reaching for a joint. I nodded in agreement, knowing Slade was an incredible boss, not just a businessman. He always saw everything, all the time. It was quiet for a minute, as we smoked on his patio. It was a clear sky and the moon looked brilliant, clear and beautiful. For the first time in my life I was really starting to question … like what the fuck am I doing right now? That chick last night was almost like a combination of a wake-up call and rock bottom. I couldn’t go on like that, fucking random chicks. It just wasn’t appealing all of a sudden.

Slade was still sitting on the sofa, his hand buried in his hair, his entire body vibrating with a rage that had finally broken through the stone. “I can’t even use a fucking fork,” he choked out, the words carrying a jagged edge of pain that pierced straight through my heart. His face was a mask of pure, raw agony — his jaw trembling as he fought for control, while his amber eyes welled with hot, heavy tears.

Every whisper followed her like poison. But when she saw the man waiting below, her anger turned to something darker. Arrow De La Vega. Tall, poised, and devastating in a black suit that looked like power tailored into fabric. His jaw was sharp. His posture, impeccable. His expression? Unreadable. She descended the steps with deliberate grace. He extended his hand. “Miss Montaire.” “Mr. De La Vega.” His eyes flicked over her face – assessing, unreadable, almost annoyed. “You don’t look thrilled.”

Gavin followed in with Slade which I didn’t care for, but it was his job to follow me anywhere I went on tour and maybe he thought Juliet would claw my eyes out. “If you have other kids just fucking tell me. I need to know,” she said, snapping but also just sad. I tossed her bag on the bed and took her in my arms. I could not have her crying because of me but she may do worse. “There’s no other kids, I swear. No other other woman, it’s not like that,” I said, kissing the top of her head. “Juliet, I’m Slade Norris, the band’s manager and their fifth brother. I’m afraid I need to ask you to sign an NDA before Jude says anything else,” I heard from behind me.

I locked eyes with him as he too, regained his footing, only to stagger back, clutching his throat. "What are you doing to me, bitch?!" he bellowed, his voice tinged with anguish. "Ending your life before you end mine," I declared firmly. As if I had cracked a joke, he burst into a fit of laughter, his face reddening from the force of it. "You want to end me? That means you'll be ending Slade too, who is also Rafael!" he sneered. "You're lying!" I shouted, refusing to believe his words. "Lying?" He scoffed. "How do you think Slade was able to reach you last night?"

I know the weight of unanswered questions, The ache of unfinished goodbye. And I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone— Least of all you. So if you ever feel like giving up, Like no one sees you there, I want you to know—I see you. I know what it's like. I'm here." Endless tears streamed down Slade's face even before he finished reading the note. He crawled into his bed and cried his heart out. He cried so much that he went to sleep with a headache right after that. For the first time in two years, he didn't see his mother in his dreams.

He was so humiliated that he and his friends spread rumors that I was sleeping around, stringing multiple guys along at the same time. When Sally found out, he went after them one by one. He beat every single one of them until no one dared whisper my name again. One time, the boy who started the rumors called in a few of his friends. After school, they followed Sally down the hallway and shoved him through a floor-to-ceiling window. Sally never saw it coming. His entire body crashed through the glass, and he tumbled to the ground in a shower of broken shards. The fall was not far enough to cause anything serious, but both of his arms were slashed to ribbons by the fragments.

Azraiel was trying to normalize what happened…when it was anything but normal…! But it was me…she wanted to scream… “I asked you…what’s your name..?” He spoke quietly.. Name..? “You…or rather whoever it was in you…. was about to tell the name when it started losing control over your mind and body….and all I could get was ‘Rav’…!” He explained. She frowned…that’s a half name…Rav...Rav…Rav...What the hell could be the full name?
