My hatred sold perfectly because Corey looked satisfied.
“Okay, then,” he said. “Fake dating it is.”
“You need to leave, now,” I said urgently. “Before someone sees us and this gets to Grayson.”
He nodded. He reached into his breast pocket and produced a calling card. He held it out for me. “Call me whenever you’re ready and we’ll discuss the details.”
I took the card, my thumb trailing over the embossed name of his company.
“Goodnight, then, Ms. Hale,” he said, giving me one last long look before he turned and walked down the driveway.
