“Why do you always find the way out, Hazel? It’s like you’ve got a plan for everything.” Amy rolled her eyes but grinned. “Yeah, why does she always make things so easy? It’s annoying.” I laughed, shaking my head. “It’s not about making things easy. It’s about being smart. We don’t have time to waste, so we need to be strategic.” Lucian nodded, looking impressed. “Alright, strategist. What’s the next move?”

I asked rhetorically, my pinkie finger twitching. “Ash Winters wouldn't think the way you're thinking, he wouldn't be so worked up like you are now, sweetheart, he'd strike first and hard,” Amy said coming into the room, a towel strapped around her breast, her long legs visible. She let her hair down, adding radiance to her ivory skin. She was right. Having done my research, I found out Ash never thought before he acted, and that probably was meant to be an advantage to me, but that man's brutality was on a whole different level — he was psychotic.

Eve’s POV: I'm leaving the office immediately. It's a total disaster. I want to calm my nerves and talk to Amy. I'm sure she still will be at the cozy bakery down the street. When we started working, we intentionally arranged our offices next to each other. Amy is an extraordinary chef who crafts the most unique and delectable desserts for our customers. Her culinary expertise has played a significant role in the success of our business. I'm almost at the door, feeling the weight of the chaotic day when someone firmly grasps my arm.

As she made her way to her cubicle, she muttered under her breath, mimicking his tone, “I want it sorted manually.” She nearly bumped into Amy in the hallway. “Hey, are you alright?” Amy asked. “I’m fine. It’s just that Mr. Gracias is every bit the jerk people imagine,” she replied. “What? What did he do?” Amy’s shock was evident. It was the first time Amy had ever heard her complain about a superior. She had always been the polite one, the one who knew how to handle any situation gracefully. “How does he expect me to finish this in just one hour? And manually, too?” she grumbled.

I barked back straightening my shirt. "Humans were contributed to that damn war. You, you and all yours dispicable people killed our people!" Amy informs my ignorant mind. "There is lots you dont know little Thomas and if I were you, I'd learn to keep my mouth and head down or at least be informed before opening your damn trap." Amy huffs in place beforw smoothing down her dress, pinchingthe bridge of her nose. "And I've lowered my standards to arguing with ignorants." She grumbles turning away.

Her eyes are closed as she rocks. As Xavi continues to howl, I press myself against the door to Amy’s cell. “Amy, do you remember your daughter, Samara?” “Sam…Sammie….Samara. Just a tiny baby.” She was completely out of touch with time. “She’s not a baby anymore. She lives in a safe place, with your niece.” “The last female Alpha.” She mutters. “She’s just a baby.” “No. They are grown up.” Footsteps could be heard above us, thudding along the ceiling and making their way to the stairs.

It was Amy, a doll, who’s lips were stretched wide on an ear-shattering and horrifying grin. “Good job, Amy.” She laughs maniacally. Who would have thought the playing with money and life would be this entertaining? She thought. @cycy

" I whispered back, smiling softly at him . My cheeks burned from the hotness in here . I can't handle this . It's too much . But I'm just so fucking happy . "Awww! Guys I love you both . I'm so happy for you two ." Amy said, faking a cry . Hugging us both . What is she ? A mother ? "You are so wasted Amy ." I giggled. "Shut up . I'm not . I just feel proud of this asshole . He kept this for too long . Now finally it's out ." She smiled cheekily. "Uh, wait ! Why do I feel like a third wheel here ?" She asked, narrowing her eyes .

I said quickly, hoping to steer the conversation back to sanity before Amy could sink her claws in further. “Good, good,” Derek said. Then, with the kind of oblivious enthusiasm that made me want to scream into my coffee mug, he added, “You know, Amy here could probably help you out. She knows everyone in the company.” I nearly choked. Of course, she knows everyone in the company—she makes it her mission to know everyone so she can weaponize that information later. Amy beamed, clearly thrilled by the endorsement. “Oh, I’d be happy to help!” she said, clasping her hands together as if she were volunteering at a charity event instead of trying to worm her way into my work.
