Grinning at the child like boy zooming past the shelves, he shook his head before running to catch up. Skimming his eyes past the books, a small, blue one caught his eyes. It was hardback, with a fabric, satiny cerulean cover, small enough to fit in his palm. The title was simple, yet alluring, gracing the cover with an elegant font. "Hey, Rin. What do you think of this one?" Uriel waved the book in the air, watching as Erin lightly jogged over. Reaching his friend, he observed the book, face wavering with different emotions as he analysed it. "Well? What are your thoughts?"

I licked a drop of marinara sauce that had found its way to my thumb. She bit her lower lip, the motion distracting me for a moment, before her beautiful face broke into an irradiating smile. “I have no doubts, Carsey.” Visibly wincing I took my soda and food. “There's that atrocious nickname again, just great. Come on, let's go upstairs and eat, it's much nicer up there.”

"Within its pages lie the secrets you seek." Sable accepted the book with reverence, tracing her hand over the intricate golden engravings on its cover. As she opened it, a soft glow emanated from the pages, illuminating her face with a warm light. The figure smiled knowingly and spoke again. "In this book, you will find the knowledge and wisdom of those who came before you. It contains the essence of all that has been discovered and learned throughout history."

"All of them?" "Yes." I carefully unwrapped each box to find hardbound books in them. I laughed out loud, reading the titles. I picked the first one, looking at the erotic cover page where a girl is sitting in a man's lap. He is wearing nothing. "Married to my boss," I read the title. The second one has the hands of a girl, cuffed to the bed, "The Mafia Don's Pet." The other one has a guy with a pack, a body I am so familiar with and the photo I have taken while he was in the gym. "Did you really put this on a book cover?"

I have so many time to find that book to internet, unlike her. Like what she said, her parents maybe strict and preventing her to do what things she really like to do. ""Are you sure?"" she consistently asked. ""I pity you, that's why I'm giving this book to you."" ""I see, thank you very much!"" Wait, she's not offended? She smiled too? HER SMILE IS VERY different from the smile of anybody. It just look like this is the first time she smile. ""DON'T Bother, what is your name?""

She mocked. I smirked and just quietly sipped my coffee as she ordered our lunch. I roamed around my eyes and I can see the students chatting with their friends, a group of varsity who are hitting on a beautiful girl and a nerdy students that only know how to face their books and solve mathematical problems. But my eyes stared at the group of students who was holding a book. My brows furrowed as I stared at it. The book cover contains...pictures of some animal. Everything stops when I saw a wolf in the book cover!

I put it to my right as I murmured “I’d start with you.” Just like the first 2, the other books were about plants and flowers, the 3rd had lillies on the cover and again I smiled as I recalled touching them few days ago in the garden. All in all they were 5 books and the 4th was about pest control and all about how to care for plants and flowers, how and when to water each one, which of them requires much sunlight and which doesn't. The final book was like a diary, its cover, thick and brown, my name scribbled on it in italics handwriting and I had no doubt it was Davos who did it and my grin spread wider as I saw a note stuck to the book.

I mumble, heading to my office. I sit down in my chair and put the book on the desk. I look closely at the cover and realize it isn't leather, but some soft dark skin, more on a fur than the normal boom cover. My guess would be some.random animal with fur but I think sime fur isn’t smooth as this. I turn to the first page and mutter a curse under my breath. I read the tiny scrawl with widening eyes.

“A lot of wrong decisions.” I laughed softly, then walked toward the art section. There, large hardcover books were neatly arranged. I pulled out a photography book black-and-white portraits with powerful expressions. My heart thumped quietly. “This ” I whispered. “This is the feeling I’ve been looking for.” Liam stepped closer, looking at the page I had opened. “Strong. But calm.” “Yes,” I said. “Not shouting, but heard.” I flipped through the pages, absorbing every detail. Then I stopped and closed the book carefully. “I want a cover like this. Not a famous face. But honest emotion.”
