I'd never get around to seeing my face and not thinking about her, not seeing her. The girl in the mirror stared back, gaze unwavering. The left side of my face was totally affected by the fire. It was a 3 degree burns though lots of surgeries over the years have reduced the scars greatly and now, it was a little over 1 degree burns. My left eye was badly affected though and I've had to wear contact lenses. I subconsciously ran my hands over the lines marring my left face, they stretched further into my neck and chest and my tummy, then my legs. I lived through sheer luck.

“This House burns when I say it burns.” Cracks spiderwebbed through the glowing links. For a breathless second, hope surged. He could do it. He could break them. Then the chains split. Not shattering—multiplying. Three separate strands shot outward, writhing toward us like vipers. My scream tangled with the crack of impact as one slammed into Damian’s arm. Smoke hissed. The scent of charred flesh filled the corridor. He grunted—just once—but his body jerked. “Damian!” I tore free, grabbing his burned arm. His skin blistered beneath my hand, heat still eating into him.

They were still in the middle of the sea of fire while they were starting to run out of breath from inhaling too much smoke. Anwen coughed and her body started to feel weak. Trish hugged her. “Hold on, I will definitely save you.” Hearing that, Anwen cried even more. “We have to survive together,” she said, then coughed again. Anwen hugged the man’s waist very tightly. Trish’s entire complexion was red. His whole body was full of burns, but the worst wound was on his back. The burn had reached his flesh. It really felt terrible! Trish started coughing too, and his eyes were stinging. He had a hard time opening them because of the smoke. His skin felt like it was burning, and he was short of

God knows I need it. --- It’s been hours since Liam and I started working out the raid, attempting to cover all the weaknesses. We have most of Ryker’s unit still in treatment for harsh burns. The treatment of burns is no simple process. The burnt skin must be cut away and removed, in order for the crystal to heal and restore the skin completely. The procedure is long and indescribably painful, the burn victim’s screams have been filling the camp ever since we came back and I can feel my own resolve weaning. This raid has been anything but smooth but that cave of hydra cannot be left unchecked.

I embraced Amaris tightly in my arms. Liam groaned from where he lay on the ground, barely conscious. His skin was scorched, his back marred with burn marks, but he still managed to croak out, “Don’t… don’t go…” My heart felt like it was being torn in two. I clutched Amaris tighter, her cries piercing through the crackling of the flames. “Are you really going to be the same useless, selfish girl from ten years ago, Allison? Are you going to let these people die because you’re too afraid to act?” Sullivan taunted.

“Let her try. I’ve already survived the fire. Now I’ll make sure she drowns in the smoke.” Damien gave a grim smile. “Then let’s burn it down.”

In a blast of bright orange fire. "Hugh!" Elizabeth’s scream echoed through the chamber, then Dave shot another round at the remaining assassin. Hugh screamed and struggled to roll out of the flames to safety as his entire body became engulfed. Finally, after a moment, he was able to worm his way onto a part of the stone surface where the fire hadn’t reached, and he continued to turn over in the dust. A few seconds later, the flames had been smothered. The skin on his face and hands peeled and blistered from the burns, and his hair had been singed down to the scalp. When he opened his eyes, he saw Shawn Richmond standing over him, holding his gun. “Now, it's quite a fire, huh?” Shawn lifted

Smoke and ash made it difficult to see her, and the smoke around Bree was intensifying as the flames continued to pour out of the wayward pipe. “Stay here!” Zach insisted as Chase and Griffin moved equipment out of the way so that they could all back further away. And then — puff. A tiny wisp of smoke. “Kim!” I shouted. “Look!” Her eyes widened. “Oh my God!” I leaned closer, blowing gently. The smoke grew thicker, then the leaves caught. Flames danced up fast. “Yes!” I yelled, jumping back. “We did it, baby! We got fire!” Kim smiled for the first time in days. “You’re crazy, Damien Carter… but I love you for it.” --- We fed that fire like our lives depended on it — because they did.

"I-I …" Every word she said made her throat hurt. She could taste blood. The doctor could see what she was trying to say. He instantly stopped smiling. "Ms. Miller, half of your body is covered in burns. Your throat has been damaged due to the copious amount of smoke you inhaled too. It might …" It might never return to the same state as before. The doctor couldn't bear to finish the sentence. He continued consoling her, saying, "Hope has the best medical resources. I believe that if you go along with the treatment, you'll get well soon."
