Smoke Wolf Novels & Stories

As expected, a couple of wolves jump out of hiding and begin circling us, their intent clear as they growl. I could easily take them all if I was on my own but now I had a mate standing behind me trembling in fear. I contemplated turning to my wolf and finishing these rogues off but I can't risk her safety so I quickly connect to the mind link trying to reach my beta and pack while making sure she was still safe behind me.

It was all Killian's father's order, though he made sure to get them destroyed and banned before his death. Wolfsbane was caged in a can full of smoke.. Smell alone knocks wolves off their feet, enough of it and they cough blood, can’t shift, can’t fight. I rolled the can in my palm, then I stepped forward and let it fly straight into the middle of the group. For a beat they just stared at it, like it was some dropped toy. One of the guards bent, frowning. “What’s that?” he called. The answer came fast, a hiss, then a puff. Black smoke spilled out and hit the air like a wave.

But just as I was about to make my escape, a huge gray wolf emerged from the smoke and lunged toward me. My heart leaped into my throat as I saw the wolf lunge toward me. Its snarling face and bared teeth were a mere centimeters away when suddenly it froze, eyes wide and fixed on me. It lay still, lifeless against the edge of the jeep. I was dumbstruck, my jaw hung open in shock. I didn't need to question what had happened since I felt a rush of air around me and as the smoke dissipated, I saw the scene before me. Lucien and his men were battling the pack of wolves, their eyes blazing red, their demonic powers at work.

His wolf growled out, his black eyes turning gold, a sign of his wolf emerging from its slumber, only for his sister’s own black eyes to turn copper, challenging his with a small snarl. Being born from a powerful alpha like their father, as well as a strong-willed and outspoken woman as a mother, all three Knox siblings were born as an alpha and to say the least, it had led to an interesting family dinner, one of which is far more than enough to give their parents a headache for a lifetime.

I asked. "Yes. The dagger is preserved for oath and ritual purposes. It’s usually taken along during festivals like the Blood Moon Festival," Jace clarified. "That's the handgun. Over there is the rifle. It's like a cross between a sniper and an assault rifle, but it's called a long-range pulse rifle. Next, you have the smoke bomb. It's used to block scent trails. For example, if someone is being monitored by a rival wolf or even a stranger, smoke bombs will block the scent trails and keep the enemy confused."

But as I gingerly set foot into the land of Ryder’s pack, I do not see a single soul guarding their land. I smell smoke though; thick, suffocating smoke. The kind that clogs your nostrils and sends you into a coughing fit with just one inhalation. Then I hear the pained howl of wolves and the blood-curling screams of the children and the elderly. These are howls and screams that will haunt me for life.

His little arms trembling Alpha Sandro is a werewolf who has much stronger resistance compared to his pack members. He was able to tolerate the poison and shifted into his werewolf form and darted towards the container truck where the smoke bomb came from. However, he found no one inside. The smoke was quite thick, making his view blur for a moment. He was a werewolf and thus should have good eyesight. However, the smoke is extremely rare. Not even the top ten werewolves have it. Only the three packs can have it. One is the Werewolf King, The Prince and the Duke.

Smith muttered still where he was, looking at Violetta who had left him. "I'll come back to see you, honey. It's easy enough to know your house," continued Smith. He could easily trace Violetta's whereabouts because earlier Smith had already sniffed his scent. The wolf's sense of smell is very sharp, so it should be easy for him. After saying that, Smith chose to turn around and return to his base. There is important business regarding the pack, if it's finished, surely Smith will return to meet Violetta. I’m going to have to work for it a little bit. Vincent managed to get away from my friends as these back-up wolves started to focus on them. But, we can’t follow, a wall of the same green flame has risen around all the buildings and I won’t risk any of us trying to find out if we can make it through. We keep fighting these red -eyed wolves until someone shouts ***”SMOKE!”*** Over the mindlink. I turn to see a plume of thick black smoke rising from our home.

Mate! My wolf growled excitedly as I alighted from the vehicle. He stood at the entrance of the packhouse, his presence was impossible to ignore. My heart beat faster as I alighted the car and walked towards him. His scent is clean and sharp, like a crisp pine forest after a fresh rain. It carries the tang of cedar and the faintest hint of smoky embers, grounding him in strength and authority. It’s the scent of the wilderness—untamed, but with an underlying control that mirrors his dominant nature. Whenever I catch his scent, it brings a sense of stability and protection, yet with a dangerous edge that keeps me on high alert.
