But looking at the strange languaged title I was relieved it was the right book. But where did the roots go? Or was I imagining them entirely before? Shaking my head, I turned the cover, and pages written in that strange language came to sight. Peculiar symbols like the moon, wolf heads and many others occupied most of the pages.

Serenity turned the next page of the book again instantly. "Hey, how come some of the pages are torn out? But why, I can't get any other information if the next page isn't there." Serenity muttered and continued to turn the pages of the book, but still could not find the paper shreds of the missing pages. Serenity was annoyed.

The further I delve into the book, the further deteriorations I can see to its neglected condition. I can’t help but notice the thread holding the book together has begun to fray, struggling to contain the historical accounts listed inside. Its layout subtly begins to shift the more I push on, gradually altering with each entry included allowing me to differentiate between the multiple rulers listed inside.

The edges of the pages had turned reddish-brown. The book cover's luster had also worn off. The creases on the book corners and the paper scraps stuck inside the book indicated that the book's owner had flipped through it countless times. Her gaze faltered for a moment, and the corner of her mouth turned up slightly in a smile. The more she tried to numb herself, the more he appeared.
