We were keeping an eye on the pups that were with us. Niccolò and Lilac had three pups – Raelynn, Samson, and Iris. Raelynn was currently with my girls. Violet and I had six pups – Ava, Lily, Elio, Maverick, Gabriella, and Jayce. Maverick was five, Gabby was three, and Jayce was one.

It was a symbol of their triumph, of their new beginning, and their unwavering strength as leaders. Sara, a one-year-old bundle of joy, followed her brother’s every move, her golden curls bouncing as she tried to mimic his every action, though she was still finding her feet. Her laughter filled the air, a sound so pure it made Sofia’s heart swell with pride.

But when I returned to the pack house, I saw Cayden kneeling in the snow-covered yard, shivering uncontrollably. I could hear Lyana and Dexter's laughter coming from inside the house, along with Theron's gentle talking voice. It felt like someone had poured a bucket of ice water over me. My hands and feet were cold as I rushed forward and threw myself over Cayden. "Cayden! Why are you kneeling here? You're sick, and you can't be in the cold!" When Cayden saw me, he finally broke down in aggrieved tears. "Mommy, I didn't break Dexter's pony figurine. Please trust me…"

I tore my bespoke suit jacket off, shredding the expensive fabric. I ran toward the treeline, my body vibrating with the need for violence. I leaped into the air and shifted. By the time my paws hit the bloody earth, I was a massive black wolf, standing nearly five feet at the shoulder. I charged into the clearing. Three massive grey wolves were circling a group of whimpering pups near the riverbank. In front of the pups stood Marcus.

His weathered face was etched with relief, and I could see tears gathering in his eyes. "Don't be afraid, sweetheart," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "The pup is alive. This little guy has such strong vitality. He cried so loudly when he came out that the whole safe house could hear him. Look, he looks just like you did when you were born." Father carefully lifted a small bundle from a nearby bassinet and brought it closer to me. I struggled to turn my head, my gaze hungrily falling on the tiny form wrapped in soft blue blankets. My breath caught in my throat.

I sincerely hope that what lies ahead of us as we take this momentous step is a brighter, happier future for every one of you. I hope you have all read and studied the information my Uncle kindly sent for us to acclimatise ourselves to our new homes, there is plenty of work and schools for all. I'm used to only having one person and a wolf. I took a quick shower before climbing into bed next to him. I stared at him sleeping peacefully until I fell asleep. ***** "We're going out today." "But it's the middle of the day. There are people outside." "That's the point. You need to get used to people as fast as possible." "But, but...I'm scared." He gave me the sad puppy eyes. "Baby, what's your name? Where is your master? Are you lost?" The puppy seems to understand what she says, barking twice and wagging its tail happily. Nina Morrison sees that the puppy is cute and she wants to play with it. She picks up some pinecones from the grass and plays a ball throwing game with the puppy. "Snowball, Snowball..." An anxious female voice ranges from far to near. Nina Morrison looks up and sees a slim figure coming in the distance. Nina Morrison pats the dog on the head and says softly, "Snowball, here comes your master! Go and find her!"

And who knows, maybe all the pups will return in their own stories as they grow - Shelby did elude to the pups being special wolves. My next project is called Healing Powers. Healing Powers is a story about a strong female lead who has healing powers, but nobody is supposed to know about them. She meets her mate who is a jerk. They both dislike each other but need each other to achieve their own goals. Will they be a match, or will they reject one another once they get what they want? “You and your brothers can come and sleep with us.” She furrowed her little eyebrows together. “Wha bout Coco?” She pouted, hugging her Coco tight. “I need to help with patrol tonight. One of the guys mate just had a little pup and wants to spend some time with his mate and new pup.” He explained to her. Her eyes got bright. “A new pup? Can I see new pup?” she asked.
