Onyx The next morning was glorifying with the warmth of the sun falling over the freshly settled white snow on the ground. The sparkling snow shined like a diamond. All the animals were in hibernation and the environment outside the pack house was quieter than usual. I was indulged in the book given by the elf, last night in the library. There were too many things written in the book but nothing about defeating magical powers. “Damn!!” I cursed. “Relax, Onyx! Why were you so troubled?” Fiarra approached with a cup filled of hot chocolate and offered me.

White mist lingered around the frozen human figures displayed on the sides of the room—once had been traitors who defied the king’s orders. Kael’s gaze turned to King Terrowin Aragon who was sitting on the throne, ice crystal made. It screamed attention and power over all those who have seen it. The seat had been elevated above the blue floor with curved steps in front. What’s truly remarkable was the glowing ice wall behind the throne, carved with a symbol of a huge snowflake on it—the snowflake that symbolized the northern region; the country of Glacia. Kael kneeled and bowed his head. "You called, Your Highness?"

Merigold Someone is yelling at me. " Squeeze my hand, Snow." Snow? No one at the club knows my nickname. " Come on Snow. I know you can do it. Squeeze my hand." I know that voice. But I can't think right now. He wants me to squeeze his hand. I focus on that. I tightened my grip. I can feel my hand move. I moved my hand finally. Yes!

My legs were twisted, crushed under the weight of the snow. Shawn collapsed as he finally saw my corpse. The tool clattered to the ground. He stared blankly at my corpse as he shook his head vehemently.

I have never trusted December. People say that sounds dramatic, but those people never watched their parents’ house burn down on Christmas Eve while the rest of the town kept singing carols like nothing happened. So yes,every time snow falls, my skin crawls. And tonight, on December 1st, Hallowpine is drowning in it. Snowflakes tumble from the sky like they’re drunk on holiday spirit, sticking to my eyelashes as I lock up my bakery. Then I shot up a wide look at the heaving creature—a man heavily bandaged in sorrowful white cloths of ghastly crimson patches—squirming in bed. 'I told you not to get them! YOU DARE DISOBEY ME!' Beside the bed, a wooden tub of snow; atop it, a human male arm of fair complexion. ‘Ellis, please!’ The Snow Queen tried to calm her husband, but the mummified creature shoved her aside. ‘Get away! I’d rather lose the arm!’ thundered the usually gallant Alpha. ‘You’ll be the darkness’ next target when you do—you know that!’ cried his wife, her face flushed with worry and hurt, trying to grab the remaining hand that was searching for more things to throw at me. ‘PLEASE LISTEN TO REASON!’

Luna shook her head. She felt a little useless and stupid. “Are you done? Let’s sit and I’ll teach you.” He took the empty box from her hand. She closed the door of the cabinet and followed him. They sat on single chairs. Alex thought the bed might be distracting. She listened attentively as he showed him the coins they use in Snow Mountain, how much each is worth and what things they can purchase. He also tackled how much a person can earn, depending on what tasks they accomplish.

She turned to go up the stairs. “Where do you think you are going to with our family heirloom you thief?” Sloane screamed. “The marriage has ended, you need to return the ring. I honestly don’t even know what Liam saw in you, you gold digger.” Dukia pulled the diamond ring from her finger. It had never fit right, loose and cold. She placed it on the dinner table, directly on top of the divorce papers, and walked up the stairs to what used to be her room. Her bag had already been packed for her. A single duffel bag that she had stepped into this family with. She picked up the bag and walked out the front door.

I stopped in my tracks with my fingers clasping the door handle, ready to push the button and pull it open when the voice behind me ordered. "Come here." I swallowed hard before turning around slowly, heaviness of something I could pinpoint as nervousness settled in the deepest pits of my very empty stomach, the emotions rolling around from side to side and leaving me a nervous wreck.

Snow—my white wolf with cold blue eyes—lifted her head. The witch froze. Good. Even without speaking, Snow radiated lethal grace. My body felt heavier, stronger, and wild. Every instinct sharpened. My paws touched the floor with silent promise. The witch’s fingers twitched, drawing runes in a desperate attempt to defend herself, but Snow was already moving. A blur of white. A sharp snap of bones. A wet crack. In the span of a breath, Snow lunged at her, jaws stretching wide. Teeth sank into the witch’s neck and tore through flesh and bone with merciless precision.
