Marcus couldn't speak with William's hand squeezing his throat closed, so he gave a frantic nod instead.
"Good," William snapped, and dragged Marcus toward the open door. "Then pass the word."
With that, he shoved the other man through the door and slammed it behind him. “Incubi,” William grumbled in clear disgust with a shake of his head. "Nasty creatures. Ruled entirely by their loins and incapable of any other thought," he said, apparently still mumbling to himself. He turned back toward Emily; who's face must have shown the shock she felt. He stopped and gave her an apologetic, slightly guilty smile. "Sorry about that," he said hesitantly.
