Taking a step forward, he grabs my arm, and as the tightness of his grip is hurting me, I feel afraid of his hold for the first time.

I look after him, unsettled, only a touch on my back ripping me back towards Ace and Hilda, who caught up with me. “Is everything alright?” she asks, tilting her head to move it into my line of sight. “Did you fight?”
