The sound that erupts from me is raw, unfiltered, and filled with a torrent of emotions that words alone cannot express. "AAAAHHHH!" The scream tears through my throat, carrying with it the weight of betrayal, hurt, and shattered dreams. It echoes off the walls, a desperate plea for answers and solace that can never truly be granted. The sound resonates, vibrating through every fiber of my being as if trying to purge the pain that threatens to consume me.

There is no reply, but I can tell the line is still connected, and after a few seconds have passed, I realize my folly. I should have dialed 911 instead, even though they won’t be able to help before I inevitably crash. “Austin … are you there? I’m scared I'm going to die!” I exclaim again, and then I hear it … the sound of muffled feminine giggling, followed by a man’s murmur, but I can't make out what he’s saying. Then comes a sound that I’ve heard so many times that I’ve lost count, which is the sound of Austin’s groan during sex, followed by a loud feminine moan and other sex sounds.

I dropped my juice box, still addicted to this thing. 'And you will never understand,' I said coldly, I picked up the mini ear buds at my side and wore it. The sonic shield pierced in, blocking out every sound. 'Now, enjoy my favorite music!' I shouted. I pressed the blue button on the arm of my chair and smiled. The sound to me was like a small incessant ringing but to them, it was a loud frequent wave, similar to a banshee's wail.

Lucian purred softly, his velvet voice ringing clearly across the silent room. The lead mercenary whipped his weapon around, but before he could squeeze the trigger, Alexander activated the secondary circuit from his tablet. A high-decibel acoustic deterrent, installed directly into the foyer ceiling, erupted into a localized sonic pulse. The three men dropped to their knees, clutching their ears as the invisible wave shattered their balance.

If we cross that threshold, it’ll hit with the force of a physical blow—nausea, disorientation, total loss of balance. I could push her back. Pull her out of range. But I don't. "There's a sonic trap ahead," I say, my voice low. "We need to move through it fast. Cover your ears. Keep your eyes on me." She nods. No argument. Just trust. I move first, stepping into the threshold. The sound hits me instantly—a brutal pressure behind my eyes that makes the walls sway. My head pounds, vision blurring at the edges. But I keep moving. Five steps. Ten. Fighting the urge to vomit.

“Do you wanna have a quick shooftie on who is taller and above you now? “ he grinned while Sentaya tried to swat him off her neck by flailing and thrashing with her arms and wings. She also added salt to my already wounded, bleeding ears with a new series of ultrasonic screams. “Oi! Ultrasonic nan flap!” Nexelex said and slashed the axe into one of her wings; as her blood exploded across Oribus, together with the wing that crumpled on the muddy, blood-soaked floor of Oribus's battlefield. Sentaya snarled and shrieked in pain. “Oh fuck,” I thought to myself, “my head is going to burst and shatter. I can’t take it anymore.”

The frightening soundwave shook Sir Osborn, Paxton, and the other regular Osborn family members into bleeding out of their orifices and falling to the ground. Swenson looked shocked. “Is that Sydartha Society’s Titanium Leo-roar?” Hank Veal’s signature skill? Kayson knew it as well?! Judging by how he had executed it, he was close to completing the practice, and even grandmasters could not possibly overlook the effect of the soundwave. “Hah!” Valdis shouted, dispelling Kayson’s soundwave with wrathful eyes that looked like they could spit fire. “Kid, you’re provoking me!”

I scream. It’s a raw, animal sound that tears my throat. I swing my fist. I drive the key into his eye. SQUELCH. The sound is wet. Horrifying. The Reaper shrieks. He drops my legs, clutching his face. Blood spurts between his fingers, black in the shadows. "My eye! She got my eye!" The other two drop me. I hit the ground hard, the impact jarring my teeth. I scramble backward, crab-walking away from them, my vision swimming.

The ropes are burning my wrists. "I'm close!" Alex shouts. "Mia!" "Yes! Yes! Echo!" "Now!" Echo commands. "Release!" I scream, my body bowing off the mattress, ready to shatter into a million pixels. Then— Zap. Silence. The music cuts out. The vibrator dies instantly inside me. The amber lights flicker violently and then go dark. "Err-rrr-or," Echo’s voice distorts, dropping into a terrifying, guttural register. "Sy-sy-system... cri-ti-cal..."

Now shaking violently, she let out a prolonged scream. Like a fission bomb, strong waves broke out of her and exploded in the park, pushing everything and everyone from their position, and throwing them to different places. She screamed ceaselessly for close to a minute as her rage kept growing. Both creatures and humans bled through their ears at the sound of the sonic scream. The sonic scream was powerful enough that it burst the vampires that heard it and weakened the humans who heard it, making some humans swoon.
