I sat in my room for three days. Not dramatically. Demons did not need food to sustain themselves, they get that from human emotions. Sadness mostly. That's why demons possess the souls of the people who are weak and sad, easily manipulated so that they can be fed off them. After a while, the person loses his identity and it becomes easy for a demon to take control or simply leave that body. I licked my lips as I stared at the different types of food that would put human buffets to shame. Everything from juices to meat and bread.

The door to the room I was, flew open, revealing the demon himself, dressed in his all black glory, he was holding a gun, he looked over at me and smirked, dropping the gun on his table, he walked over to his dresser, taking off his rolled up sleeve suit. "You know this is low right, even for you." I said. "I'll take the risk." His very sweet voice echoed around the room, damn, how I've missed that voice. He was an ancient demonic beast who ate every being's soul and life force that committed great offenses against Heaven's Will. Frankly, he was someone that was on the side of the Sovereign. As someone who was on his side and dealt against the offenders of Heaven's Will, how could he be sealed up here, of all places, and not in the Divine World, the Spirit World, or the Underworld? The soul tried to get it out but it couldn't. I looked at the demon and it breathed in and then out. Suddenly blood started piercing out of the demons jaw and it stared directly at the place where the black substance was. It was only then I had realized the kind of demon I had summoned. This is a demon that create something in a human's soul, that little hope, that little good, and then when the humans are happy, it would squeeze down to bits what that human loved the most.

The bricks shattered as I did. “Your boss knows what I am… and he knows that I’m coming for him.” “What… What are you? I don’t understand.” I dragged him by the chain and searched his jeans pocket for a lighter. Once I found it, I tossed it into the basement. A line of fire started to crawl towards Hem’s body. “You’re going to burn Oscar alive!” “I’m no angel, Todd.” “Then what are you?!” he cried, looking at the quickly building fire in the basement. Oscar’s scream echoed with the sizzling fire. “I’m a demon.”

Clara had never spent much time wondering where Clarissa’s soul had gone. Over time she had come to think of Clarissa’s body as her own rather than a body she had borrowed. To hear that a demon could have consumed her soul was a shock to her. “Is it possible for a demon to have eaten her soul?” she asked. "They need a spell from a Sorceress to do that. But a Sorceress needs the amplifying power of a Daemon to take souls on such a mass scale. So, they used this symbiotic relationship to bring on this huge curse. Disguised as a sickness, it caused people to turn into a zombie like creature. Once that was done, they twisted the hunger into a soul feeding machine. Now they won't stop until all the souls are gone." I turned to Cynthia feeling the pain that she must be feeling knowing what had happened to her children.
