Cleo shrugged. "Soulmates are supposed to be bound to each other, but it doesn’t always work out. The pull isn’t strong enough for some pairs, or circumstances get in the way. It’s supposed to be about love and completion, but that doesn’t seem to happen much these days."
"What happened with them?" I asked.
"I don’t know exactly," Cleo admitted. "It started out fine when they first met, and then... it wasn’t."
