Images of dissections, chemical formulas, and video logs of screaming test subjects filled the monitors. Sora’s eyes locked onto one file dated twenty years ago. It was a video of a younger Dante Valente. He was holding a baby in his arms—a baby with silver-tinted eyes. "Project Spica," the voice on the recording said. It was his father’s voice, but it lacked any trace of the warmth Sora remembered. "The first viable hibrida. The vessel for the pure Beastman essence."
