His frantic thoughts were suddenly distracted by a sharp glint that appeared behind from her. Rapidly cutting through the night, it hurdled towards them. Recognizing its distinct whistle as it travelled decisively through the air, Allen twisted his body to avoid it at the last moment. However, the spider-woman who had been too preoccupied with her prey, had not been as lucky. The blade severing one of her eight legs as it swooped past, she hissed viciously towards its unknown owner. The golden orbs of her eyes shimmering like a fearsome predator in the night, the creature became unnerved even before Chiri Krane had emerged from behind the screen of darkness around them.

I pointed at Cassandra before blurting out. “There is a spider crawling on her.” I swiftly stood up to avoid looking at Aubrey and the guys. “A spider?” she screeched as she started jumping while shaking her arms like crazy. “It’s a huge one.” I opened my arms up wide to show just how big it was when I realized that there was no way a spider could be that huge.
