Spider Lilies Novels & Stories

It felt like more room. Lily came back up the beach and dropped onto the sand beside them, leaning against Elena's other side. "The tide is coming in," she said. "I found a shell that has a perfect spiral pattern. I want to show Alexander tomorrow, it's a good example of the Fibonacci sequence in nature." "Of course you do," Dominic said. Lily looked up at the sky, which was moving from orange into deep blue above them. "This is the best trip we've ever taken."

Chapter 212 "Mama's sorry," I soothed, bouncing her gently. "But we need to figure this out before you touch any more plants, okay?" "Can I see?" Lily asked, pushing past the adults to get closer to the plant. "Wow, it's so pretty! And it smells good too." She was right. The plant was giving off a faint sweet scent, like honey and vanilla mixed together. Definitely not something a regular fern would do. "Don't touch it," Orion warned his daughter.

My heart pounded wildly as I tried desperately to give him some kind of signal. I deliberately let my body tilt and collapse toward the edge of the bed. The hem of the oversized black cloak flipped up. My pale, slender calf was exposed. Just above my left ankle, a vivid red spider lily tattoo came into view. Five years ago, Jackson held my foot and etched it there, prick by prick. He said the spider lily flower bloomed along the road to the underworld and that with this flower, even if I died, he would find me in Hell.

As for the Red Spider Lily… A reporter walked toward Charmine and inquired curiously, “Ms. Jordan, may I ask if this is truly a Red Spider Lily? Is there such a gigantic Red Spider Lily in the world?” “Yeah, I have to thank a friend for this. She invited me to the forest yesterday, and I discovered this gigantic Red Spider Lily by accident,” Charmine’s red lips shifted into a small smile as she answered elegantly. At Moonlight Shore, Waverly happened to have overheard the live stream someone was playing. Hearing Charmine’s reply, she felt anger bursting out from her chest.

Some are labeled with what the contents of the file is about, some are just filled with pictures with labels. “For some reason, I like spider lilies.” Crystal spoke, her eyes trailing over to the large variety of roses, lilies, and other blooming variants but none caught her eye. She could only remember the spider lilies which she would often draw as a child. “Spider lilies? That’s an odd preference, although, it is said to be poisonous.” He spoke, concern written over his features, his eyes grazing from the papers, onto Crystal’s eyes, which seemed glassy with clouded thoughts.

Even Remi looked two shades whiter than his normal self. Slowly, the gamer turned to look at his hand and tried not to scream. Two things flashed through his mind when he saw what it was. He finally found the Red Spider Flower. However, the more urgent thought was how to extract his hand from underneath this huge black hairy spider with a red flower growing on his back that matched the description of the herb Zen was looking for. Now he finally understood why it was named as such. Also, the foraging encyclopaedia wasn’t wrong. It was found in trees and not inside trees. He only wished he picked up on the hint earlier.

He even had a spider crawl on his face but he didn't cry. “I would have cried! I am scared to death of spiders.” Lily tells him, mustering up a smile for him. “Anything with eight legs is a creature that I don't want to mess with. He has six more than me so he is clearly superior. I shall know my place and not mess with him.”

“Understood, Miss Agafya.” There is one last thing I must do here before leaving, get some flowers. Specifically a solaris, a large silver flower with seven fluffy round petals. Whenever I look at it, it reminds me of Lada’s beautiful hair, so I think it is the best one to leave her as my parting gift. It is sad to think about it, but no one will be visiting the made up grave I prepared for her inside the forest for the next ten years. The solaris only grows where there are arachnias, a giant spider monster that acts as a great pest control service for the flowers. My best bet at finding one are the swamps that form near Lake Eibsee.

Lily stretched out her arms, fluttering like a butterfly on the soft flower bed. "Stop." Suddenly, with a loud scream, Elias pulled Lily's arm from the flowers. Lily couldn't help but look at Elias in surprise. He quickly explained: "Do you see those yellow flowers?" Lily nodded, and Elias continued to explain: "It's a carnivorous flower. If you touch it lightly, it can eat a piece of your flesh." Lily took a few steps back in fear. Venn looked at Lily's expression and laughed. Lily didn't understand why the two of them were laughing, but feeling like she was being tricked, she turned around angrily and walked forward.

she replied with a hint of sadistic amusement. "Ah, yes, the fear of spiders," the man acknowledged with a chilling smile that could haunt one's nightmares. "This particular breed is known as Latrodectus mactans, commonly referred to as the black widow," he explained, referring to the spiders within the case. With calculated precision, he delicately placed one upon Mr. Woods's bare chest, having previously removed his shirt.
