Cory turned her attention to Mirrors while Titan was trying to cut Venom free. Hayden’s wolf snarled as it paced the room, agitated, looking for the old woman. He heard a high-pitched snicker as she reappeared, riding the vines as more of them shot through the window. The living room was becoming a maze of vines. The vines sprouted thorns just as Venom was released from their clutches. Venom gasped at the sight of the thorns. “Those thorns are poisonous! Don’t let them prick you!” Shouted Venom as he ducked under several thorny vines heading his way.

The spider is too powerful and fast, catching up to them. It directs another sharp arrow at them, this time nearly hitting Anna. “Airen, it is now or never!” She shouts. “We must find its weak spot!” Airen nods. “Hold on!” He growls. The dragon does a backflip which nearly throws Anna off but she grabs onto him. For a brief moment, they fly underneath the spider, which gives Anna a glimpse of flesh among the metal body. “I see it!” She cries. The spider covers its weak spot and hisses loudly, spitting out venom from its mouth. Some of it grazes Anna’s arm, causing some burns but she ignores them.

After coming up with a plan, she took note of the things she needed and quickly picked them up. She noticed that in a section of the room, there were different bottles with poisonous substances in them. One of them was snake venom. Thinking about how Stok moved around with different types of poison, she decided to also hold something that might come in handy. She put on gloves and dipped her bullets in the snake venom before loading her gun. Afterward, she walked toward the ladder took one last look at Shawn, and ran back to the bed. She kissed his cheeks and said, "Shawn, I just need forty minutes. I promise I'll be back within forty minutes, okay?"

Again and again.” She pressed her palm to my chest. Her touch burned. “But I’m here now. We’re here.” The serum churned in my gut. I vomited—black bile, chunks of something that squirmed. Lira laughed, high and shrill, as I crawled through the mess.
