She didn’t know how the concept of time was being calculated there, and she was beginning to regret not doing further research before coming there.

"Yucks! What in the world are they?!" Red exclaimed. "Can't you see that they're venomous spiders?!" Quin shouted back.

Either it was a gift from the Moon or her disconnection from the Goddess, but it was slowly allowing her to heal. It didn’t take them long to walk back to the house, the territory wasn’t as large as the one Moon Fang had occupied since the war, and therefore took little time to travel across. They broke through the trees to see Georgia on the other side of the clearing, looking out into the forest. As she turned towards them, Adelaide felt the pull. We’re on the right track,” he said with a hint of arrogance. “How far to the third outpost?” asked one of the participants who seemed to be leading the group. “I don’t know. But about three miles from here, near the forest’s peak, the trees are almost completely covered in spider webs.” “Can’t you see more clearly from above? Your vision is better than ours.”

She smiled again. “Should I wait for you?” the driver asked as he stopped the car. “No. I’ll be here a long time.” She gave him his money and mouthed a thank you as he sped away. Honey – as she called the wolf because of the cheerful yellow and brown of it’s skin – waited for her by a tree and began to howl as he saw her coming. She touched his ears and together, they began to walk home. Gwen’s house was located so deep in the forest that many Towner’s did not even know it existed. Gwen couldn’t fathom why a human would build such a house so deep on the forest, so far from civilization – knowing humans and their need for socialization – but it was an advantage for her. It provided her with t
