I braced myself, claws and fangs bared, ready to fight, but to my surprise, the wolf passed straight through me, its form a mere shadow.
I stood still, my irritation mounting. Why the hell didn’t I think about that? The wolf circled back, and I couldn’t help but growl, the sound low and menacing in my chest.
"You're a fucking spirit," I snapped, my voice sharp with frustration. "I know you're pissed about what I did to that girl, but you can’t do anything to me. If you really want to kill me, just get the hell out of here and go back to your other half, dog."
