“They tampered with forces beyond their understanding. Why should we intervene?” Evelyn raised her chin, her voice unwavering. “Because they are innocent. They are children, drawn into darkness by this cursed book. Punish me if you must, but help them.” The spirits exchanged glances, their forms shifting in the ethereal light. Finally, the seventh spirit, shrouded in a dark mist, stepped forward. Its voice was deep and resonant. “We will assist them, but know this: the path they walk is not ours to alter. They must prove their worth to survive.”

At least there, I can have peace. When I arrived at the garden, I felt the peace hugging me. 'Finally.' Away from those stabbing gazes, away from that annoying expression of Rosine, away from that indifferent male lead. Amongst the books I brought with me, there's one with an inconspicuous book with a simple red cover. "From One Space to Another" is the title of the book. It is a romance story about a girl who can teleport from one place to another and a boy who was from another parallel universe.

Though my stomach growled for sustenance , I just could not think of eating. “I will eat later…” I say softly , offering him a smile. He exchanges a look with Xavier , but I do not stay for the lectures that I know is coming. Instead I walk to the entrance and sit on the floor in a crossed legged position – my eyes fixated on the fiery red flames that almost touches the sky. I sit out there for a while , enjoying the peace of being alone. At this moment , all I ever want is to be alone. I would often feel my stomach kick me with hunger , as my nose smelt the food that was cooking but I easily turned my attention back to the burning kingdom.

Giselle looked at the man not knowing why she was here. Uzair raised his hand and a book appeared. He opened it and started ready loudly. "F i r s t... l i f e. The first thing that Lila did when she recovered from her fainting spell was to focus on her surroundings. They looked familiar. Yet, her still muddled mind couldn’t quite place them. It took several minutes of study before she realized that she was back in the wing of the vampire castle where she and Jasper had spent so many months. The room was closer to the lab than the one she’d occupied before her escape and much smaller. She’d used it to nap in a few times when she wanted a brief break from the lab but didn’t want to be too far from Jasper in case he needed her.

Lyda flipped the book over to see if she was simply looking at the wrong side, but there was nothing on the back either. Curiosity getting the better of her, Lyda opened the book to the first thick parchment, blowing away the dust and dirt that littered the yellowing page.
