“Blood slaves?” Eskal supplied, I nodded in response. “Unfortunately, they didn’t last and we’ve resorted to bagged blood from the hospital in a nearby city.”
“Oh,” I said. “Couldn’t you, I mean there are lots, but if Alpha Ber, that is…”
“Don’t hurt yourself,” Eskal laughed, “besides, we wouldn’t dream of touching your pack. Nothing tastes worse that chewing on a musty, wet dog.”
