Everyone was surprised and exclaimed. With great effort, Vivian opened her eyes and carefully surveyed everyone in front of her. When she looked at them, she recognized all her most beloved relatives. Yet, there was a hint of reluctance in her eyes. Tears constantly trickled down the corners of her eyes. She slightly raised her hands and opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something.

The sun rose as it did the previous day, but Dawn woke up to the sound of someone humming a tune he’d never heard before. It took the mafia boss control not to reach for the gun he’d hidden in the front of his hoodie on instinct. Unaware of the death flag she had just avoided, Aqua continued humming a familiar tune. Watching her tail transform into legs at the crack of dawn for the first time, the mermaid wondered if she would ever get used to it. She took the chance while Dawn was asleep to study her new body parts.

Then I was flung sideways and ripped up towards the surface. The faint smell of strawberries and fresh rain guided me back to life. I gasped as my eyes shot open and found a forehead pressed against my own. The vision of my left eye was hazy, and the left side of my face was sore. The sound of my gasp caused them to jump back. Their familiar violet eyes were wide as they frantically looked me over. A sense of relief washed over their features as they stepped towards me again.

It just took everything that happened to get here and I would not change a single thing because every single thing led to this room, this man, this daughter, this life. Eyes open. Always, always, eyes open. Clara breathes. Rhys holds my hand. We smile.

I took only a small portion of food since I had no appetite, especially sitting next to my monster boss. “Eat this,” he said, piling more food onto my plate. I ate without looking at what I was chewing, my eyes fixed on Brix. “W*tch!! The squid!!” Jen suddenly shouted. But it was too late—I started itching, couldn’t breathe, and then I passed out.

“Though I do have to take a shower, you shouldn’t get your shoulder wet today.” “Screw my shoulder.” He ground out. She wiggled up from around him, and he was watching every move she made. She then stood at the foot of the bed, and she pushed the wall open, so the shower was visible. She smiled at him as she reached into the shower door and turned on the water. He could feel the steam coming from the water as it hit the wall.

My scream intensified but suddenly, my eyes snapped open… Pale ocean-blue eyes stared back at me.

"Push it outward." Leo squeezed his eyes shut. The sapphire veins on his neck flared, pushing a massive wave of raw Origin-Code into the pod’s grid. "Shield is holding!" I yelled. "Blowing the lock in three! Two! One!" Dax slammed his armored fist against the manual release. The heavy tungsten hatch didn't swing open; it was pulled entirely backward on hydraulic tracks, opening a massive, circular doorway to the Mariana Trench. The ocean didn't rush in.

His pupils recorded a fracture that releases pressure from beyond. "The gate to the next realm," Creed uttered, "The Soleil Voyage!" However, Fang's eyes were not stuck on the sky but on the snake woman herself. His pupils dilated as he kept gazing at her. For some reason, his breath turned fuzzy while his armpits perspired. He raised his elbow and poked Creed to bring his attention back to ground.
