Squidward Opens Eyes Novels & Stories

It really hurts. Wait, I can move now. And there’s a sudden light striking through my eyes. I put my hands on my eyes and removed the sticky liquid on them. Slowly, I opened my eyes and was dumbfounded by what I have just witnessed. I squinted my eyes several times while my mouth was gaping because of bewilderment.

D-DAY-2 = DOOMSDAY Vlad opened his eyes, his black iris now replaced by blood red ones. He was in killer mode and his senses were especially heightened now. “It’s here.” All around him, the clairvoyants spread out, forming a circle, each with a wand in their hands. The only people missing were Suzanne and Tom.

🦪 🦪 DORA 🦪 The first thing that returns is the smell. The sharp, sterile sting of antiseptic fighting against the faint earthy scent of my own room. I try to open my eyes, but my eyelids feel like they have been sealed with lead. When they finally crack open, the familiar surroundings come into view.

I squeeze my eyes shut and clutch my head, writhing in pain as the sensation spreads through my skull. “Quit being dramatic,” my spirit guide says, “Open your eyes.” How the hell am I supposed to do that in this much pain? Even when my eyes are closed, it feels like there’s a swirling of colors behind them, and my head feels like a whole parade is going on in it. I feel him in front of me. “Open your eyes, Nova.” I do, reluctantly, slowly opening one at a time. The world swims into focus as my eyelids flicker open, and surprisingly, the ache subsides. When my eyes are fully adjusted, I look around. The world around me is spinning – literally – and… sideways?

Maybe Finrir can finally feel free to make his move without hesitation, she thought. However, before any further discussions or revelations could take place, their conversation was abruptly interrupted by a sudden disturbance. A giant squid emerged from the shadows, its menacing presence sending shockwaves through the water. With predatory intent, the creature locked its gaze upon the trio, its tentacles undulating with deadly precision. Tritan's gaze narrowed, a flicker of exhilaration dancing within his eyes, as he prepared himself to face the formidable adversary.

AUTHOR’S VOICE [“It Goes On”] Eyes, teary eyes, slowly opened to welcome their vision to the warm, blinding golden beams of the just-risen sun — a frown wrinkled on a forehead where beads of sweat had temporarily found refuge. A hiss carried by the weight of pain and confusion released itself through the chapped lips that had been hopelessly parted.

I crashed heavily against the sandy ground. A loud thud echoed as my forehead collided with a small rock. Blood trickled down my forehead. My vision blurred from pain. I rose to my knees, pain shooting through my very core as I quietly observed the scene before me. I watched the worm cautiously as it surfaced in random location in seconds. It's mouth opened wide whenever it surfaced and closed shut whenever it burrowed back into the earth— enclosing a player in it's ferocious Jaws. This was it, hell as we knew it.

She leaned down as if to hand me the bottle, but just as my fingers brushed against it, she snatched her hand back, causing the bottle to sail through the air in a wide arc before landing with a splash right in the middle of the storm drain. "Oops! It just slipped out of my hand!" Ella said with an exaggerated gasp, covering her mouth in a mock gesture of shock, while her eyes gleamed with pure, undisguised malice. Upon seeing her only hope for survival disappear, Wanda's body spasmed once and then went completely limp on the ground.

When I was six, I was playing Red Light, Green Light with my brother, and I really did freeze. My mind stopped at six years old, and the shock of it broke something in Grandma too. My brother became a different person after that, keeping the two of us fed on scholarship money and whatever he could make collecting scrap. He used to be the proudest boy you ever saw. Kids at school called him a bum and he didn't even get angry. The only thing he couldn't let go was somebody passing us on the street and calling me a dummy — then he'd go after them like a madman to make them take it back. That night he held me and cried without making a sound. "Our Maisie isn't a dummy. Maisie just hasn't gro

My eyes stay shut, my chest heaving as my hands tremble. The howls continue, followed by the sound of something tearing and grunt and bangs and then… Silence. I can't move as I brace myself for my turn. This is really the end. But a sigh comes from in front of me, almost human and almost tired. “You can open them now.” Masculine ice deep and soft. Familiar? But I don't yield until he repeats, “Open your eyes… Kaia.” My breath catches in my throat, heart thudding as I peel my eyes open, slowly, like it might hurt to see what’s in front of me.
