The more mentally tough you are the better chance of you to win a fight. A lumber protruded out of the roof when one of the vampires clawed it to prevent himself from falling down. I rushed towards the boards and made a wooded stake out of it, the other vampire ran behind me, I structed the wooden stake right in his chest. He instantly squirmed in pain and took his last breath. There's still one more left.

“What else would I be? They don’t exactly let vampires feed on each other, you know.” I stayed standing, arms crossed tightly. “So it’s just the pure-bloods who keep feeders?” “Oh no,” she said quickly, shaking her head. “Most vampires do. Even the sired ones. Master Ramez, for example—he was sired by Master Perth. He’s not a pure-blood, but he has feeders too. That’s why I’m here.” She tapped her chest proudly. “I’m his.” I blinked at her, my mind struggling to keep up. “So basically… almost every vampire has a feeder?”

It was frustrating, but she decided to stand back and just watch. She gasped when the tallest of the new vampires grabbed the Elder’s neck and snapped it, making him fall to the ground. Ruby let out a scream, which he couldn’t hear. She wasn’t sure if this Elder was dead or not; was it that easy to kill them? Ruby felt weak; there was no doubt in her mind now, he was definitely dead.

Despite the strangeness of the situation, Melia found herself finding his astonishment rather amusing. "Vampire..." he murmured, his gaze shifting towards Melia. My heart thunders as several vampires suddenly join the battle at Vadam’s command. “I don’t think so.” Ziahra says. Even in her injured state, she’s defiant and strong. I blast a few aside as I turn to glance at Zedkiel, watching as he spins around in one swift motion, and plunges the wooden stake straight through Vadam’s heart, causing the vampire to scream in agony as he crumples to the ground, dead. A blast of power rushes through the room and blood pools around Vadam’s lifeless body as Zedkiel steps back, his heart racing.

"Well I can see you're not Jackson, so you must be one of his new underlings." His eyes glowed red in the darkness and he emitted a low growl from his throat. "Just as I figured your father hasn't taught you to respect your elders. But then again how can I expect your father to teach you anything since he is a spineless wimp." The young vampire charged me and I waited till the last second before moving to my right, turning and watching the underling flip over the side. One hand was all that ended up saving him from falling to the concrete below as it caught the edge of the roof.

Thru seemed to have a leader this time, a huge hooded man with an aura twice as intimidating. "Sebastian Deusdedit," he called out in a eerie tone. "Respect," she spat, "emperor Sebastian, your honor." The hooded blood sucker laughed, an unpleasant sound. "I'm also a king, you know, a lord. The lord of the vampires, what you term as blood suckers." "I don't care what you call yourself but I warn you to stay away from me and my wife." The vampire lord chuckled, throwing back his hood to reveal a deathly pale face with long sharp fangs.

Devin sighed and gave me a pity look. “He’ll come around.” He assured me. “In the meantime, it’s a beautiful day and the sun is up. You wanna go for a walk?” he asked and shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal, only if he knew what he just did. He just invited a vampire for a walk, in the sun. Good thing I’m a day lighter. “Sure.” I said and stood up from the chair I was seated. “So, what do you wanna talk about?” He asked swinging his arms beside him while staring at my face making me a little more uncomfortable than I already am.

I wanted to see that place. It was just two hours into day break, everyone had gone to sleep. I hurried into the kitchen and drank a whole bottle of a special liquid Edmund and Hillary introduced to us. It was called vamscren and it allowed vampires to walk in the sun for a while without being affected by it. Somehow, vamscren made me feel a bit better about becoming a vampire as I didn’t have to always be limited by the sun. The vamscren was made from dragon tears and Edmund and Hillary, along with Dana, arranged with the manufacturers to always supply it to the castle, so we never ran out. After drinking, I got my cloak and flew out of the castle, to see my former town.
