The Hunters have arrived!" The cries of the young boys ran through the whole village, many men and women coming out to see the sight. Liam riding in front, followed by nine other men, all on horseback. On the back of Liam's horse was the dead carcass of a mountain lion, and his quiver held an unusual number of arrows. Instead of the standard twelve like the rest of the men in his party, it held 15, two from the archer who had shot the beast earlier, as well as the arrow aimed to warn him.

He was the first creature to ever, in her entire decade of slaying, to escape her. Since that night she had been completely thrown off her game, and it was all his fault. Now she was crouched here, trapped in a building with a hungry and murderous rogue werewolf because of her sloppy and poorly executed plan. She pulled out her phone but hesitated with it. It was on silent, it would be a total rookie mistake to not have it on silent whilst out hunting. What made her hesitate was how dark the warehouse was. Once she unlocked it, even though her brightness was turned down, it would still be bright enough to draw attention.

Proles, these genetically engineered animals were monsters and Maddox had already seen with his own eyes what these beasts could do. He didn't want to imagine what she would be waiting for at her destination. Antonio's muscles stretched with anger, "Name him, King." I looked into my Beta's blue glowing eyes before answering, "Daniel Hunter." He was taken aback by the revelation, "Daniel Hunter? The one who belongs to the Hunter family of the UK?" I nodded my head in slow motion, "Yes, the same Hunter family who is known about their history of hunting the supernatural kinds in the name of keeping a fucking balance in the world." Antonio stiffened, "And they are back to hunt more of us. What are your orders?"

Why can’t I shoot? “Elena…” a deep baritone calls out from behind me and I whirl around to come face to face with Hunter. His jet black hair is slicked back, it is damp and he has clearly just taken a bath. Droplets of water stain his grey shit, creating little darkened spots. “Hunter!” I gasp. “I’m sorry, I know we’re not supposed to train at night but I’m not getting any better–“

He stared at me for a few more seconds before he finally decided to talk. “What are you going to do with me?” The hunter asked in the same fearful voice. I sneered at him. Why was this hunter so fearful? I knew that I caught him, but shouldn’t he at least have a little backbone? I looked down and noticed the badge on his chest. I spotted a badge similar to what Phoenix had shown me in the cave. But unlike Phoenix’s badge, this one only had a single star on it. I remembered what Phoenix said. A one star invocate.

The Hunter said as he swung his Silver metal baton back and forth Slowly approaching Daemon who was on the ground breathing hard. “It’s...... not (coughs) over yet” The hunter laughed at his feeble attempt to stand up then dodged a claw from the now awake Gwen, He swung his baton she dodged it neatly but couldn’t dodge the kick that followed which sent her flying to Daemon’s side.

He breathed in heavy, angry gasps. His accomplice stood a few feet away in the shadows. The nervous, lower-ranking bounty hunter shifted his weight from foot to foot. He held a wet tactical rifle tightly against his chest. "We should fall back, Garrett," the bounty hunter said. His voice shook with clear fear. "The Alpha heir's security detail is way too highly trained. They are not normal guards. We need to wait for backup. We cannot just rush them again. It is suicide." Garrett snapped completely. He lunged forward through the rain and kicked the bounty hunter hard in the chest. The man slammed backward into the brick wall, dropping his heavy rifle to the wet pavement with a loud clatter.
