A golden burst lit the sky. It surged like a rising sun. From their bodies, two phoenix-like wings of flame spread wide. They lifted into the air, fire pouring from their mouths. Then they crashed down into the shadows. The land shook. The fire spread like a sea. Every shadow creature screamed as their bodies melted into smoke. The sky broke open, revealing stars.

The Hollow Star blazed so bright it blinded the wolves below. Valeborne’s voice boomed from the Rift above. “You are mine, Hollow Star. You cannot sever our bond!” “I can,” Iris said. “I sever it with my life.” She spread her arms wide, a sob breaking free as she whispered to Aiden, “I love you.” Scene 4: The Sacrifice of Stars With a final cry, Iris unleashed her power. A beam of light shot upward into the Rift, colliding with Valeborne’s shadow form. The Rift screamed—an otherworldly sound that split the air and made every wolf collapse, claws over their ears.

Twilight asked Swift Mustang. “Shadow Star is the leader of my group, he’s the element bearer of Devotion” said Swift “that’s right Swifter” said Shadow Star “you’re Shadow Star and why you’re flying?” Twilight asked “why I’m flying with one wing I don’t why.” Said Shadow Star “his right wing was severed when he was chased by a dragon” said Swift Mustang “yep I was chased by a dragon and his attack severed my right wing and that event haunts me still” said Shadow Star. Twilight pats his shoulder “It’s okay people get haunted by events of the past and yet you continue fighting” said Twilight. “Thank you Twilight anyway Astral Mist, Lunar Scar & Ivory Wings will be here soon “I’m here Shadow!!

Spitfire had no idea what he was actually planning and it was better that way. "Auras don't weigh anything, you big idiot." Spitfire snarled through gritted teeth. The wings were starting to flicker. They were getting farther and farther from the bridge. "I can't let go of you to snatch any of these demons who are falling past us." Spitfire had pulled them out of the range of where the demons who were still tumbling off the bridge were falling. Not one of them had wings or any other power that Spitfire could steal to help them out of this predicament. The no-fur was sweating, straining to keep the wings whole and get them back to safety.

I can see the faint outline of what looks like wings spread behind her. Wings of fire that seem to take the shape of a heart… A piercing scream rips through the air as her power increases tenfold and surges into the sky, emanating in waves around her. I see the swirls of the flames behind her move before I see a tiny part of her left wing snap and shrivel into embers of ash. It’s too blinding to look at, and I’m forced to avert my gaze.

They flare on either side of me and when I stand, the points arch to encompass a wide scope of the ground, causing the others to back away in shock. Because I have wings. Wings of fire.
