Dans un pays de l'Afrique, existait un royaume nommé Royaume de la Richesse (RR). Dans ce royaume, aucun pauvre se marie aux riches. Car selon eux, la pauvreté est une malédiction voire un sort jeté sur ces catégories de personnes par les dieux. Ainsi, les hommes pauvres étaient considérés des hommes maudis par les dieux. Les hommes du sang royal s'unissaient entre eux. Aucun prince n'avait le droit d'épouser une fille d'une famille pauvre, de même qu'une princesse. Les hommes pauvres qui se trouvaient dans le royaume étaient les paysans qui passaient leur temps à travailler dans les champs du roi. Ce roi est si puissant que personne n'osait s'approcher de son royaume. Les princes des autres royaumes qui venaient demander la main de sa fille avaient peur du roi en question. Ce roi était surnommé le roi Scorpion. Il était tellement venimeux que personne n'osait s'immiscer dans ses affaires. Mais malgré toute sa puissance et les lois du royaume, la seule fille du roi est tombé follement amoureuse du fils d'un pauvre cultivateur, ce que le roi n'avait pas approuvé.
