Please Stay

Please Stay

I ask myself. "Umm...no." "Hmm..." I look around the room for inspiration. The red ink stands out to me. Stay? Could that fit? I want to run far, far away To a place where I feel I can’t stray Stay somewhere I feel welcome And not like an outcast Because it seems everywhere I go I feel like a victim eaten up fast For once I plead Someone to ask me Will you please... stay?' And just like that, with the one word the poem completed itself, it became whole , it was finished, it's own living and breathing entity of words and letters and deep meaning.

Promises We Made at Seventeen

Promises We Made at Seventeen

Staying used to feel like the hardest option. Not because leaving was easy—but because staying demanded more from me than escape ever did. Escape only required distance. Staying required presence. Attention. Accountability. Staying meant I had to be fully here. And for a long time, I wasn’t sure I knew how to do that without losing myself. But somewhere along the way—without ceremony, without announcement—staying stopped feeling like endurance. It started feeling like strength. This chapter doesn’t begin with certainty. It begins with clarity.

His Earthly Desire

His Earthly Desire

‎The first thing I learned about power was that it never stays contained. ‎ ‎It leaks. ‎ ‎It stains the hands of people who never asked to touch it. ‎ ‎By the time I arrived at the office that morning, the air had already shifted. Conversations stopped a second too late. Eyes followed me—not openly, not accusingly—but with the kind of curiosity reserved for people standing near an explosion that hadn’t gone off yet. ‎ ‎My phone vibrated as the elevator doors slid shut.

Married To Him By Midnight

Married To Him By Midnight

“That’s why I’m saying it.” I looked at him, then really looked. For the first time, I understood something clearly: Staying wasn’t about him choosing me. It was about me choosing myself inside a world that tested women by how much they could tolerate. “I’m not staying because I’m afraid to leave,” I said. He waited. “I’m staying because I refuse to be pushed out.” A slow smile touched his lips. “That,” he said, “is exactly why she’s losing.” But even as the words settled, my phone buzzed softly beside me.

letters that staved

letters that staved

🌙 Continuing into Part 42—a chapter that embraces questions without rushing answers. As Yam and Franc open their notebook to others, they discover that staying isn't a rule... it's a rhythm. One that some people dance with, some stumble through, and some have never dared to learn. Let's gently unfold that truth. The notebook labeled “Lessons on Staying” sat in the corner like a quiet challenge. At first, it remained blank. Yam and Franc didn’t push.

Wounded and Bounded

Wounded and Bounded

I continued to speak to myself until I settled upon the decision; that I would continue with the debate with myself later on and help Mary first. "What powers should she be given? Invisibility? Mind reading? Ughhh! I am gone crazy! Wait, the book!" I turned around to go back to my room and get the book for the guidance but then something stopped me. The book was already there, on the ground. 'It wasn't here before.' I thought to myself. Ignoring how it got there, I bent down and picked it up. Without wasting a further minute, I began turning over the pages until my sight landed on a heading saying, 'The Manipulation Powers.'

The Unwanted Wife's Return (Ex-Husband Wants Me Back)

The Unwanted Wife's Return (Ex-Husband Wants Me Back)

I could feel it, tight and wrong, like a scar pulling at healthy skin. "You make it sound so easy," I said. "Easy?" He let out a short laugh, shaking his head. "No. Nothing about this is easy. Divorce isn't easy. Leaving isn't easy. Starting over isn't easy." He paused, his fingers drumming against the steering wheel. "But staying? Staying is worse. Staying will kill you slowly. Not all at once. Just a little bit every day, until one day you wake up and realize you don't recognize yourself anymore."

After Divorce, I Became Mrs. Ford

After Divorce, I Became Mrs. Ford

--- Because staying— Staying wasn’t about holding on tightly. It was about choosing, again and again— To be there. To show up. To not run when things got hard. --- And this time— They were both willing to try. --- Together. ---

My Monster

My Monster

"Repeating a year doesn't mean you're behind. It means you stayed." My throat tightens, but I push through it. "I stayed when it would've been easier to quit. I stayed when my path didn't look impressive on paper. I stayed when I was tired, scared, pregnant, grieving, or convinced I was one bad exam away from proving everyone right." Kaz straightens. Azren stops fidgeting. "I stayed because determination isn't loud. It doesn't announce itself. It shows up quietly, every day, and says, Not today. Try again."

Okay so I won't lie, I was tempted to stop reading at one point. I felt it was going slower than I like, and I didn't understand why this super strong tribrid was the way he was. BOY WAS I IN FOR IT. I'm glad I didn't stop reading. That twist was.. WOW. Was NOT expecting it. I enjoyed this story!
Katrina Hofstadter
I loved this book and am looking forward to reading more from this author and the next book of this saga. The author doesn't leave an question unanswered or unnecessarily drag the story out. The ability to keep the continuity of the story from beginning to end, was spot on. A great read!

DIVORCED MORNING AND REMARRIED TO HIS BROTHER BY NIGHT

DIVORCED MORNING AND REMARRIED TO HIS BROTHER BY NIGHT

“The end?” “The end of them having power over you,” I clarified. Something in his expression shifted at that. Something real. He looked back up at the ceiling, like he was turning the idea over in his mind. “The end…” he repeated quietly. “Yes,” I said. “And the beginning of you finally being free of all of it.” Another long pause. Then, finally. “You'll Stay,” he said. I squeezed his hand gently. “I am here to stay. I’m not going anywhere.”
