I unsheathed my trusted kinjal, a curved sword-dagger. There were barely a hundred feet between the oncoming soldiers and me. Suddenly, they stopped in their tracks when they heard an order being shouted out. That was when I saw a tall figure emerged from the crowd. The man was dressed in a black uniform with gold-rims around the collar and sleeves. He wore an imperial military helmet made of shiny metal. His gloved fingers curled around a decorated Shashka. It didn't help lessen my anxiety either when I recognized him. The vampire was the merciless General Konstantin himself.

Mated to the Dragon

Mated to the Dragon

Something about gingers and their temper. Tearing through the rest of his plate he quickly finished with a loud belch just to tease Freja. Her attention was focused towards the back of the tavern, but he saw her glance his way with a quick glare. Following her gaze he found a group of men in gambeson over their clothing, each with a sword and shield strapped to their person. All four wore metal helmets that covered their nose and ears coming to a point at the top. On each of their shoulders was a patch with an embroidered yellow dragon in front of a white kite-shield. The men argued over a map on the table, wondering what area to look in next.

War on my Heart

War on my Heart

A deep voice says amusedly across the room, and I jump, hissing an obscenity. I turn quickly, pulling the knife on my thigh out in one rapid motion, and my eyes land on a tall, dark figure across the room, covered in a cloak similar as the man who sent me here, though this one is a bit less conservative, and I can see a set of fierce of amber-yellow eyes gazing at me with faint curiosity. In his arm, he holds a shining silver helmet casually, clearly the artifact I was searching for. "Why do you wish to take my Helm of Darkness, Hecate?" He rumbles, tilting his head, and the cloak hood falls back onto his shoulders, revealing a masculine, strong-featured face. He is handsome but severe looki

But the most striking difference was that it didn't have a sharp point, not even a drill shaped one, but a blunt one, as if someone replaced the arrowhead for a red crystal nail. "Thanks, relay to team C that i will be joining the battle after I talk with the holy ones." The Chief bowed slightly, and the warriors did the same before departing. After greeting Skeletor, the Chief made the same ritual and collapsed. Nearby soldiers prevented him from hitting the ground and let his body rest on a chair. --- "We see each other again, Mr. David." The skull appeared in David's space one more. He removed his screens and smiled at it. "Indeed, Chief. I hope you liked my gift."

Ex-Wife Became the Top Driver, He Regretted It

Ex-Wife Became the Top Driver, He Regretted It

"You should have bankrupted him. Put him on his knees begging in the street. Make him understand that without you, Sara, Ethan Black is nothing." I smiled and pointed at the glass display case in the most prominent corner of the room. "I brought the one thing that matters most." Sophie leaned in, curious. Inside the case, sitting quietly, was a gold helmet. The one I wore the year I took the national championship. "Huh? Wasn't Ethan's monogram printed on this? Why's it scratched off?" Sophie pointed at the obvious gouge on the helmet's side, baffled. I walked over and flipped on the display light.

Captive Of The Count

Captive Of The Count

I raised my brow at them with a baffled look overcoming my features. "On trial for the murder of Ares Akanther." "No." "Why not?!" This question didn't come from the two men but from a person who had ridden through the crowd with an Armour helmet on his head and the hooked hand which he flashed told me that it was Hector, "Did you let her escape?!" "Hector, remove the helmet, you are being over dramatic." I snorted as he rode forward. He removed it with a sneer throwing it to the ground with the sound of iron meeting stones vibrating over the place, "How dare you betray your people and your throne over a woman?! What kind of a king are you?!"

Love this book! Will their be a book 3 in this series? I sure hope to find out how things will continue to work out for all the characters (I don’t want to give details so not to spoil things for new readers)

This book is a sequel to “The Alpha King’s Rejected Mate” and should be read after the first book. Plot was very interesting and the enemies to lovers vibe was super intense! The book could use proofreading, but overall a great story with a HEA! :)

One Night Stand with the Lycan

One Night Stand with the Lycan

And at the forefront, I saw Sage, my trusted Beta, his expression grim yet resolute. "Sage!" I called out, my voice filled with urgency as I approached him. "What has transpired? Why is our army assembled? What is happening?" Sage's gaze met mine, his eyes holding a mix of sorrow and resolve. "Marco, we received devastating news," he began, his voice laced with a heavy weight. "The scouts we had sent to monitor Swiftclaw's movements were ambushed and killed. Their heads were sent back to us as a gruesome message."

Sacrificed Warrior

Sacrificed Warrior

The memories overload me until I feel myself drowning. I grab the necklace, hoping that it will give me strength that I don't have. The hybrids plague me, and they won't stop. They will never give up. I'm not safe, and I doubt I'll ever be. It takes me hours to be able to close my eyelids. There's a war coming, and I'm the center of it.

He managed to avert his head but the rock still struck him a glancing blow. He closed his eyes as pain crashed through his skull. He found the strength to push Hegre off and rolled away. There was no time to adjust to the pain from the blow to his head. He stumbled to his feet keeping Hegre in sight and cast about for a weapon of his own. Hegre stood, the rock still in his hand.
