Stella's eyes were filled with tears, as she looked around in confusion. She saw Trevor sitting at the foot of the bed, gently applying ointment to her injured feet while Felicity was sleeping in a nearby chair. Stella then glanced at the window and noticed that the room was brightly lit. It was a stark contrast to the pitch-black darkness in her dreams. Her body ached all over, and she could still feel the lingering chill in her bones. Stella withdrew her gaze, looked at Trevor, and softly called out his name.

I fade back into darkness. Stefan is laying on the floor of a dark cold room. I can only see him and nothing else. I’m not dead but I am not all there. Suddenly a white light fills darkness. Stella walks out of the darkness. She walks over to me and puts her hand to my cheek and I am filled with warmth. “It is time to get up now my love. We need you,” she says. Stella helps me stand up. She walks over to Stefan and pets him. He jumps up and I can feel the joy and gratitude radiating off of him.
