The Blazing Lights is one of the biggest clubs there is on the earth. So, it was going to be more fun than all the other times we went out clubbing. The first thing I see once entering the club is the sweating bodies dancing to loud, bass-filled music. The bright, blinding, strobe lights illuminate the otherwise pitch-black club. I guess that’s why they call it The Blazing Lights.

This was like a dream come true. Inside, it’s everything I need it to be. Dark and loud and blindingly alive. Colored lights flash over the crowd, blue, red, violet, casting strangers in shifting shadows. The beat shakes the floor, climbs into my bones, and starts to burn away everything I’m tired of carrying. The judgment. The silence. The weight of being someone I never asked to be.

The shield closed, and we were left to wait outside. An hour passed. Then two. In the third hour, the circle began to flicker with an unnatural light, a color that didn't belong in a proper healing ritual. Martha gripped my arm nervously. "That light… something's wrong." Elder Thomas's face grew grim. "She's using the wrong herbal combination. If this continues, it will—" His words were cut off by a guttural, animalistic scream. The sound was completely inhuman, filled with pain, despair, and… an unspeakable horror.

His voice blurred slightly in the wind. "I brought you here at last. Didn't you always want to see the stars here?" My spirit floated beside him. My heart ached at the sight of his aged back. He scattered my ashes gently across the surface of the lake. "You will always be the light of my life." I laughed and cried at the same time in the air above him. I felt my spirit slowly fading away. It was a sign that I was about to disappear completely, but I wasn't afraid anymore.

However, her face was pale, and her eyes dim. At that moment, I wanted nothing more than to turn into a demon and drag this vile couple straight to hell. I waved my hands wildly in front of them, but it was useless. No matter how hard I tried, they couldn't see me. Oblivious, Christian and Mina remained curled up together, badmouthing me.

She should know me by now, maybe I was destined to be with her, maybe her vision was real but I was so fucking over in trusting the universe to control my fate. I was finishing off on my cigar, it had been a while since I smoke. I never felt the need to light one whenever I was with her, I have always felt content with my life whenever she was with me. But as soon as I was alone, I felt the craving for it, and need it to calm myself down.
