Stephanie Plum Series Novels & Stories

Stephanie had packed up her stuff and was about to leave the compound when she decided to make one last stop at Amelia’s cabin. She knocked on the door and Amelia opened it, not knowing who was there. Amelia was shocked to see Stephanie standing on her doorstep and wondered what she could possibly have to say. “I just wanted to come over and tell you that even though I’m leaving the camp, I will have my way and Blake will be mine.” Stephanie stood with her hands on her hips, as if trying to intimidate Amelia.

Not anymore. Stephanie got up from her chair with a determined expression on her face. She marched up to a small safe in the corner of the room, opened it, and took out a little black device and a stack of documents. After returning to her bed, she unfolded the documents and carefully examined them with her eyes. With relentless attention, her fingers danced over the device, tapping at the screen. She was going to exact revenge on Jace for leaving her for someone else, and she had a plan. Nor was she going to give up until she had achieved her goal.

Even though Phoebe didn’t follow them when they were led here by the mistress, it didn’t mean that she wasn’t up to something—that woman was crazy about Maverick and shouldn’t be underestimated. And there was Stephanie too, the plan she had spent a lot of time planning was uprooted just like that, surely she wasn’t just going to leave quietly—anyone wouldn’t have been able to. Her eyes kept tracing over every corner quickly, trying to catch a glimpse of her and when she finally did, the series of actions that happened after that seemed to be processed in her brain in slow motion because it was an absolute disaster.

I plaster a cheeky smirk on my face and walk into the office. “Long time no see, Adam Phlem. I have a proposal that would benefit both of us,” came rushing out of my mouth. I fixed my gaze on him and I’ll admit, he wasn’t bad looking. Okay he is smoking Hot. His ocean-Blue eyes stared at me with so much intensity, I was sure I would combust on the spot. “Stephanie, are you supposed to be dead?” He asked in a cold voice, laced with the tiniest bit of curiosity. Ahah!

Her fingers drove through my hair the same time she sank her face below my ear and inhaled deeply. She continued sniffing me for a couple of seconds before she backed away and squinted her eyes at me again then suddenly, a bright glint appeared on her face. "It's you! StepBro!" she cheered and I said nothing. I hated the title already even though it's Kinda true. That title belongs to the douchebag Ralph. That's his place... Not mine. She giggled and rubbed both palms against either sides of my face and her next hiccup reminded me I was on my way to getting us the hell out of this skank ground.

“Whatever you have to say, make it quick. Emily’s got a ballet recital in an hour so if it’s not important, I’m hanging up.” “Good morning to you too, Scott.” Brayden said, pulling a bag of croissants from the fridge. “I promise that this isn’t a waste of time. I need information on someone. Her name is Stephanie.” “I’m not a miracle worker, Brayden.” I could almost hear the eye roll in Scott’s words. “I’m going to need more than just a first name to find somebody. Why are you even looking for this Stephanie person anyway?” Brayden paused. “Remember the woman that was murdered at Patterson Financial a little while back? Lara Sylvester?”

I said calmly. Her heels clicked lightly against the floor as she walked in, her steps were composed like she owned the space she stepped into. Darius left my office immediately. Stephanie stopped a few feet from the desk. “I heard things have changed,” she said lightly and my gaze shifted to her. “You’ve been hearing a lot lately.” A faint smile touched her lips. “I make it my business too.” Of course she did, Stephanie Vale didn’t survive in Moonfall by being uninformed.
