I can’t skip it. By the time I make it to the training ground, everyone’s already gathered. The chatter dies down as Luna Serena steps forward, her presence commanding. She scans the crowd, her usual calm and authoritative expression firmly in place. “Alright, today’s going to be… fun,” she begins, a sly smile tugging at the corners of her lips. The word ‘fun’ sounds like a threat. “I’ve brought in someone special for you all—a combat master.” Excited whispers ripple through the group until she steps aside, revealing a small, unassuming woman with a name tag that reads "Coach Morgan." She’s shorter than anyone here—barely over five feet—with wiry arms and a steely glint in her eye.

His eyes met mine and he smirked, watching as Carter moved aside to stand by me, his beta, Matteo stood one step behind his Alpha, waiting for my reaction. “I am surprised to see you here” I said, standing up from my chair. The Walther stared right at her forehead. Her eyes followed his thumb as it pulled the safety pin. A cold sweat dripped down her neck. Her left hand was a few inches away from the pocket knife in her jacket and all she had to do was reach for it without raising any suspicion. Easy, right? The only problem was she realized this guy was not just any crazed Tom, Dick, or Harry that needed some quick cash or anything else to that.

“I’m fine, thank you for asking.” Harry rolled his eyes, “Steve, just tell us what you want to announce. I know you have been dying to tell us.” Harry grumbled, making me glance towards Steve, who gave him the finger. “Now, it’s never a surprise.” Steve crossed his arms, acting like a child. “Steve…” Harry threateningly called his name, and he raised his hands in surrender. “Fine! I won these free tickets online, and I need two more people to go with me to grab my prize….”

As I walked away from him, another man was approaching me. Haden. Just what I needed. "Is it important?" I snapped as he began to follow me. "Last time you had to lead anything of this scale on home turf it was against Ayas," he said, "It's an honour to fight alongside the great Alpha Loren rather than against you." "Fuck of Haden," I replied, "I don't have time for your pointless wittering." "I just wanted to let you know you have my full support," he said.

Dante forcefully suppressed the anger in his chest and spoke to all of the news media reporters present at once. "I want to make one thing clear," he said, his voice ringing out over the noisy crowd. "Stardust Limited will not be defeated! The Harrington family will not apply for bankruptcy! Someone is intentionally targeting the Harrington family. I advise that person to give up their dirty tactics. The Harrington family will only become stronger!" The reporters recorded Dante's words, but their expressions remained skeptical. As seasoned news professionals, they were well-informed of the Harrington family's dire situation.

Hell, she might be my new favorite person.” I shake my head, staring out the window as the city skyline comes into view. I don’t do complications. And she screams complication. About two hours later, we arrive at the venue for the meeting. Harrington is exactly what I expect; a self absorbed bastard in his late fifties, dressed in a three piece suit that probably costs less than my watch but carries himself like he owns the goddamn city. He sits across from me in the dimly lit private dining room of the restaurant, swirling his whiskey like he has all the time in the world.

I fix myself. We park and exited the car. We enter the elevator and go to the 12th floor of the building. "Mr. Brooklyn!" An old man shouted. Hilary's dad and the old man bro hug each other and shake hands. "Here's my daughter Hilary." I bowed and shake hands. "And here's my son, Richard." A five-foot and nine inches tall guy wearing a mask extends his hand. I shake hands with him. "So let's talk about the wedding?" My eyes almost got out in my eye socket. "WEDDING!?"

Macy’s heels clicked nervously across the empty executive floor as she approached Luke’s corner office. It was past 9 PM, and the entire building had gone dark except for the single light glowing from her boss’s suite. Luke Harrington, 41, was the ruthless CEO of Harrington Enterprises. Tall, broad-shouldered, with sharp cheekbones, dark hair, and piercing blue eyes that could freeze an entire boardroom.
